Are there *any* restaurants in NW Austin such as Indian or Thai? All I have seen/found out here are Chinese, Sushi, Tex-Mex and American chain/fast food crud.
I live in the Lakeline mall area and dont have transportation to Austin much...and I am soooo tired of the food choices out here.
I cant even get decent groceries to make the above mentioned food when I want without making the "trip to town".

If, theoretically speaking, someone was planning to get married some time this year, where would you recommend getting an engagement ring (and the other rings involved, at that)?
I've read and been told (sometimes with great enthusiasm) to avoid the big chain stores like Zales and whatever else there is. They mark up the prices just because they can. So we're looking for a smaller place here in Austin. Or maybe San Antonio. Or Dallas. But I'm asking Austin people, so whatever. =)
A place we can trust. With honest people. Good quality workmanship without the markup (because it doesn't have Zales stamped on it).
I'd prefer recommendations from people who have dealt with the store directly or knew of someone who dealt with it directly.
(And I know all the things to look for in a diamond and all that stuff. I just need a store name or two or ten. ;))
Oh. And if anyone knows of a good (cheapish) place in Austin to get married that isn't listed in the phone book, I'd appreciate that, too. NO hotels, though. Won't do that.

Does anyone know of fairly priced, NICE aparments/duplex's in Austin? I live in Cedar Park right now and I'm looking to move out on my own, but need to find something a little less...north, considering I work downtown. I don't necessarily need a place downtown, but somewhere where I don't have to leave an hour and a half early to beat traffic. Any suggestions?

My father just gave me a bunch of his old clothes in
hopes that I could sell them to pay my car payment.
Mostly 70s suits and jackets, he was pretty skinny back
then, most of them don't say what size they are.
1. Gray two piece suit size 32W pants
2. Brown plaid 3 piece suit
3. Light brown 2 piece suit
4. Linen vest with matching pants(very Sat. Night Fever)
5. Gray pinstripe 3 piece suit(lining alittle ripped)
6. Beige suede leather jacket size 38
7. Light gray suede vest
8. Tan suede jacket(native american looking)
9. Camel corduroy jacket
10. Tan leather jacket(very cool design, but it fits me in
waist area, so it's pretty small)
11. Tan long rain coat looking coat
So if you or anyone you know might be interested in
coming to take a look at these things please give me a
call. I'm selling very cheap, I would like to just get rid of
them, but I am kind of poor at the moment. I might try
ebay, but would rather sell them to friends or locally.
Other things I'm trying to sell right now:
1. EMDEKO EM 5000 with a couple of film reels and
awesome vintage leather carrying case( Automatic Electric Eye
8mm Movie Camera, comes with directions on how to use it.)
2. EMDEKO Deluxe fully automatic 8mm movie
projector
This stuff looks really cool. I can't find a date on the
equipment but there is some Kodak film that expired in
1967 in the bag. So it's pretty old.
3. Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7 for PC
4. Queen Amidala Red Senate Gown1999 Portrait Edition Doll
5. Kodak Vigilant Junior Six-16(very old camera that
probably doesn't work but it's a collectible)
hopes that I could sell them to pay my car payment.

For those of you who watched the Super Bowl Half-Time Show tonight...
Janet Jackson, and Justin Timberlake did a flirtatious duet.
