Hi all,

In the mess of all the bad things that I have been going on I went looking for something that was positive and meaningful to do. Something that could help me recenter and feel useful.

My company is putting two teams into this year's Bowl For Kids Sake and help raise a little money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas, an organization that gives kids a chance to have a one-to-one friendship with a positive adult.

In Austin AISD, 93 percent of youth in the BBBS program graduate; the rate for AISD in general is 75 percent. Kids who are in the program for a year are 46 percent less likely to start using drugs, 27 percent less likely to start drinking, 33 percent less like to act violently, and 52 percent less likely to skip a day of school.

For this to work I need my friends to pledge. Please consider supporting this cause.
