Since I work news I thought I would tell you comuting folks this.
South bound I-35 is completly shutdown, traffic is being routed to exit Stassney Lane and then to get back on the freeway at Slaughter Lane.
A FEDEX 18 wheeler with a trailer attached hit a large pothole, lost control and hit the wall. The Trailer broke open and spilled fedex packages all over the road.
APD say that they expect the closure to be until 9am this morning. FEDEX is in route to pick up the spilled cargo. TXDOT is in route to fix the pothole. The driver is still in the cab of the truck but not suffering any life threatening injuries.

PIO is a person that provides information to all the news stations for APD, also our news crew was down there at the time.
oh yeah i heard on the news that the FedEX driver had spinal cord injuries and thats why it took them so long to get him out of there
