Kyudo Weekend with Lucy Halverson

Austin Kyudo Group, in association with Zenko International and the Nalanda
Gate of the Austin Shambhala Center, presents a Kyudo Weekend Program with
Lucy Halverson of San Francisco. Lucy Halverson of San Francisco will preside.
Kyudo, a standing form of meditation, is unlike sport archery in that hitting the
target counts for little. In Kyudo, the target serves only as a mirror of one's
mind. With this practice, the aim is to synchronize body and awareness in the
present moment, and thus purify the heart and mind. Confidence and natural
dignity are the result.
Cost of the program is $100. Children 12 and above are welcome.

About Austin Kyudo classes:
We practice Kyudo on a varying schedule, usually twice a month on weekends, probably Saturday afternoons. The class is taught by Craig Thompson. We usually put out notices by email. It is important to RSVP in order to receive notices of last minute changes which may or may not be due to weather.
We have several venues, depending on weather and whether we want to shoot long distance. We shoot at Shambhala Center, Craig Thompson's residence or a private resident location in Driftwood.
The cost of the first class is free and after that the cost is $10 per class.
We have a good bit of class equipment.
