ABOUT
Austen Stills has been established for LiveJournal members to share Jane Austen-themed icons and reward the makers of the most beautiful, funny or elaborate ones. Contests run on a two-week schedule. A first, second and third place and a moderator's choice will be awarded. Default banners are available for the winners.

CHALLENGES
1. Every fortnight we will either post a number of screen captures or
specify a theme that icons must relate to.
2. If screen captures are posted, you can resize, colour, texture,
etc. them to create your icons.
Note: ONLY the screen captures provided may be used as basis
for your icons in these contests.
3. If a theme is specified you may submit any icon that relates to
that theme.
SUBMISSIONS
1. You may submit a maximum of THREE icons.
2. Please submit your icons in a comment to the entry specifying
the current challenge.
Note: The comments will be SCREENED.
3. Please submit your icons by posting the images as well as the
urls.
4. All icons submitted must fit the LiveJournal size requirements
(100x100px, 40KB, jpg/gif/png).
5. NO ANIMATIONS are allowed.
6. Do not post your contest entries anywhere else until the contest
has ended.
VOTING
1. Votes are cast by posting the numbers of your favourite THREE
icons in a comment to the poll.
2. You can only vote once (that inlcudes if you have more than one
journal).
3. Do not vote for your own icon, but pick someone else’s that you
like.
4. Pick the icon that you think is the best and deserves to win. Try
not to be prejudiced, that is, don't merely vote for an icon,
because it depicts your favourite character or has been made by
your friend.
TIMELINE
Monday: Results.
Tuesday: New challenge.
Tuesday - Friday (following week): Submissions.
Saturday - Sunday: Poll.
