AboutThese are your fakehair bibles: Quinnster's Hair Guide and Forum. If you love fake hair, read these and soak em up. They're great reference guides, and general questions you may have about dreads, loose falls, wigs, plastic, methods and practices will usually be answered there.
This is an add-on to the main communities on Fake Hair, like Fake Hair is Luff (not a substitute). It's for Aussies, NZers, and anyone else interested in discussing/sharing locally relevant information on fake hair. Stuff like:
* Shops (whether IRL or online) stocking useful materials for extensions, falls, hairpieces, dreads, wigs, accessories etc...
* Discussion of products themselves
* Organising bulk sales of products needed from overseas (synth hair, plastic, wool etc)
* Local swaps or sales
* Fashion shows/events showcasing fakehair work
* Whatever else you think would be useful!
Some commonsense rules, same as other communities:
* More than 1 pic, please post behind an LJ-cut
* Be nice!
* Be constructive if you are going to give criticism
* Be specific if you have bad experiences with shops etc
Additionally, cos I find em really annoying,
* No posts like "I've got mousey shoulder length hair, what should I do with it/what colour dreads should I use?" Ask your friends, or decide for yourself. (Feel free to ask if certain fakehair colours are more pink or orange, though!)
