I have an odd request for not-quite-April even. I'm trying to find out where the big (or bigger, anyway) Cinco de Mayo celebrations are in ATL. I'm thinking along the lines of radio stations that throw a big bash or local TV stations that do trip giveaways for the occasion or even festivals in the area.

I just have no idea, being new to the area, but I need the info for work and this group always has so many good suggestions. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I have heard it from good source that:

1. An Atlanta local has just been hired as the Led Zeppelin North American tour manager and...

2. LZ will play 3 shows in Phillips "sometime in August."

Paid Study Groups

When I was living in Atlanta, I somehow got hooked up with a study group/focus group company that pays really well.

I did about 5 different focus groups with them. They paid between $50 and $125, depending on the study. It was mostly food taste testing.

I just got an email from them, asking me to refer friends.

Anyone here in GA that wants to be on it? Comment and let me know, and I'll add you - or email me. I need your full name, contact number, etc.

Not due to political views... I actually welcome political views in here, provided that they are for the greater Atlanta or national groups and provided that they contain -content-.

Posting some lame youtube video that has no relevant content is not acceptable, according to the number of dissenting comments. Therefore, it went.

What would better make your point is a well-thought out posting of your specific concerns over parties and candidates that you believe needs discourse. Propaganda and parroting 16 year old emo sporking of topics won’t stand the test of the community (which I believe is a great cross-section of all political parties, religions, and races) who are the eventual jury for a posting. However, I do keep it from becoming mob rules, hence the other reason for the deletion... it was becoming personal.

As always, feel free to post political discourse and review, but not propaganda and devoid of content. Comments that devolve into personal hate, will cause either the comments to be deleted, the thread to be locked, or the whole topic deleted depending on the severity.

If this is not acceptable to you, feel free to start an ATL politics community that allows the above. I am all for discussion and debate among your peers.
