Tarot Cards in Woodstock?
My mom's birthday is this weekend and she really wants a new set of Tarot cards. I know you can normally find them in book stores, but the only bookstores I know of around me is the one in the mall. Plus, I guess those are usually pretty generic and I'd like to have a nice selection to choose from so I can get her ones that really match her personality. Any leads?

crystal blue in little 5 has a lot of tarot cards. of course it is a bit far from woodstock....

if your mother likes tarot cards, she probably would enjoy a trip to little five for her birthday. between the herbs at sevananda, the feminist bookstore and crystal blue....

Both The Phoenix And Dragon and HootOwl Attic bookstores have them. Both stores are at Roswell Rd & 285 - P&D on a couple blocks south of 285, and Hoot Owl next to Ruths' Chris Steakhouse immediately north of 285.

In Woodstock, you're actually closer to Star Sapphire, near downtown Kennesaw, or to Charlotte's Web, on Canton Highway. I'm not 100% sure either are still in business, though - it's been a long time since I've been to either one.

I will say, however, that P&D, that everyone else is mentioning, has by far the biggest selection of tarot decks, and has sample decks so you can see the cards. It's worth the trip.

if your mom's in the area, i'd suggest actually taking her to phoenix & dragon and letting her pick out her own. a tarot deck is a pretty personal thing and hard to give as a gift. plus she's probably dig looking around the whole store.

I wish I could, but she lives in FL. :( I was supposed to meet her in Augusta next weekend but now she can't make it. I know it's very personal, but she mentioned needing a new deck (lost hers?) so I figured I would try at least. If she doesn't like them she can get new ones anyways and just know I tried!

Not that the ones already mentioned aren't better choices, but if you get stuck and it's more convenient, I was surprised by the selection they have at Borders.

Charlotte's Web</b> is in Marietta, very close to Woodstock, on Hwy 5. Support the little guy, and skip the big bookstore chains! ;)

check out the herb shop: it's in canton but I know some people there and I know that they carry tarot. there's also a little place on main in cartersville if you wanna travel that far. i know some people there as well and i know that they carry tarot, but moreso the basics. there is always the old standby: the phoenix and the dragon on roswell in sandy springs/atlanta. they have an amazing variety of tarot. good luck!
