Holy God!
There is a HUGE fire over by City Hall East. I'm not at the right angle to be sure, but it looks for all the world like it might be the shopping center itself.

Sorry, I'm a little shaky. I'm near Atlanta Medical Center (in a high rise) and I can clearly see flames. While I'm no judge, it looks too large to be a house.

I figure it's safe to say "stay off Ponce" right now.

No, but let's just say I can see it clear enough to know I'm not kidding. I'm a good 4-5 blocks away though so I'm probably going to bed and will check in the morning.

Oh yeah. I can see flames and smoke, and the lights from the fire engines. Nothing on the news yet though.

I gave you a break the houses are old and victorian in that area. I know I used to live on 5th street right there in a HUGE Victorian house. Soooo yeah..I believe you saw what you saw. :)

It's on Fox 5 online right now.

I uh... drove by THAT HOUSE at 10:45. We heard some sirens as we were passing by all the apartments over there, but I never saw fire. In fact, my friend and I were commenting on how pretty all those homes were! He says I'm now officially Carrie and have bad luck, aww. :(

I heard the sirens leaving the Little 5 area last night but this is the first I've heard about there being a fire :S. Fox news only has a small video clip up and I haven't seen anything else about it with the other news sites yet.
I'm glad that the people got out okay.
