Fishing
Where are some good lakes or ponds to go fishing in Gwinnett County? Looking for a place that doesn't need a boat, preferably.

There are tons of places on private properties. Like apartment complexes. Lake Sweetwater Apartments on Sweetwater Road & The Charleston used to have decent ponds.

Or you could go to Tribble Mill Park, fish off the bank on the river, Jones Bridge Park is right on the river.

not bad of a set of suggestions.

ive been wondering this myself since the drought hit and all my favorite fishing holes have dried up.

if you find a good place, please reply for the rest of us. i mean, hard to find a place to kill an afternoon fishing. the dog and i are chomping at the bit for a new fishing hole.

after all, fishing holes are become far too difficult to find.

i mean, where else do you get to hang out, waste time, and actually call it a sport/hobby? AND then get to enjoy the outdoors at the same time?

The fish in the lake in my neighborhood are ridiculously huge. My brother and his friends used to come here when he was in college to go fishing because the catch was so good.

To give you an idea of the size:

We raise ducks every few years and we have to cage the ducks until they are at least the size of cats because the fish will come up to the surface of the water and eat the baby/adolescent ducks.

The neighborhood is about 10 miles from Brookwood High School. Email me if you want more info :)

Norris lake has some good fishing. It's in Lithonia...kinda :)
