The AJC is reporting that the Peachtree Road Race will end at the intersection of Ponce and Juniper. The family meeting area and sponsors village will be a few blocks away at the Civic Center. At the same time, the Pride Festival will be going on at the Civic Center. I guess it will make it easier for the street preachers to annoy both groups instead of making two trips. Kind of like killing two birds with one stoning.

Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Senate leaders stalling legislation calling for a vote on Sunday alcohol sales say they haven't heard from Georgians on the issue, but that's about to change.

An online petition supporting the Sunday sales vote (www.petitiononline.com/GASB138/petition.html) had garnered about 3,500 signatures late Monday in less than a week without much publicity.

Yes, I know, if you plan you can just buy it on Saturday, but it's the principle of the thing.
