* A Postpartum Doula joins the family after the birth of their baby in order to nurture the parents & children- teaching newborn care skills and easing the transition into life with a new baby.

Anyone can who enjoys working with families and newborns can become a Postpartum Doula. If
you are patient and caring, non-judgmental, and good with children and babies you could make a great doula! Knowledge of newborn care and breast feeding is also a plus.
Requirements for Certification:
Become a member of FANSEA $40 / 1 year, $75 / 2 years
Attend a FANSEA Postpartum Doula Workshop $225
Purchase FANSEA Postpartum Doula Workbook $30
Obtain 3 Professional Reviews from clients
Have a current Infant and Child CPR certificate
Have a background check
Read required materials
Complete an interview with Administrator
Apply to FANSEA for review $50
