The Boyfriend and I will be celebrating our four year anniversary on February 15th. For a few years, we've been toying with the idea of doing a "home town tourist" kind of thing where we go and check out all of the interesting Georgia landmarks, tourist spots, etc. We were talking about what we wanted to do for our anniversary, and this idea popped into our minds.
On a more wealthy budget, we could do things like go to the Aquarium or visit the World of Coke. Unfortunately, we lack wealth. That said, we'd like to try to find some alternative, silly, interesting, weird, quirky or otherwise notable places of interest in the Atlanta and Gwinnett County areas. Any suggestions are appreciated! Our interests are varied, so anything from "Snellville's Largest Ball of Twine" to "East Atlanta's Secret Communist Museum" would be fantastic! Nothing is too weird or too dull.
When posting suggestions, please keep in mind the lack of money (can't spend more than 5 - 15$ per place we visit) and that we'd like to visit a few different places, so there is no limit on amount of things to suggest! When you suggest something, it'd be awesome if you could include the price with the suggestion!
Other Info:
1. For various reasons (already been, used to work there, costly, etc), we would prefer not to visit the following places:
Stone Mountain Park
Mall of Georgia
Georgia Aquarium
World of Coke
CNN Center
2. Although staying out super late is perfectly fine, we won't be able to spend the night out wherever we go, so camping, interesting hotel room, etc is out :(
Now, my wonderous Atlantan friends... go forth! Suggest!
