Damn damn damn.

So . . . is Eatzi's gone for good? Kaput? I stopped by the Buckhead AND Perimeter locations and both were closed. With paper covering the windows. Common sense tells me what to believe here, but the desire for their cornbread's got me in denial.
Somebody confirm for me, plz.

eBay Stores

Has anyone tried those stores around town where they'll take your stuff and sell it on eBay? How do they work? What has your experience been like? Are there any you'd recommend, or not recommend? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Large latex balloons for sale?

Does anyone on here by chance know of a good place in Atlanta (other then Party City) That carries and more importantly sells atleast foot long (deflated but can be stretched pretty well and is durable) black long latex/rubber balloons or material of such cheap and in bulk?
I'm finding the small type, but I need much larger.

I'm trying to help a friend with a project that has a deadline for this weekend, and the material above is needed. and I'm having a real hard time narrowing down or finding such in my google searches.
I thought about Baloon type florist, but what sites I've pulled up so far haven't proved to be very helpful or appear to sell such.

Any suggestions of places/stores would be greatly appretiated thanx in advance:)

2 Pure Bred Black Labs Looking for Home, Owner Has Terminal Cancer

The owner has terminal cancer and can't care for them anymore, and he'd really like to find a home for them while he's still able. He's heartbroken and hopes to find a family who can take both together.

Details: Black Labs, Male, Adult, Altered. Darling Hunter and Fame are two gorgeous pure-bred labs, brothers, who find themselves needing a new home now that their owner has become too ill to care for them. They are truly wonderful dogs. The owner's grandchildren can crawl all over them and like a typical lab; they just lay there and love it. Both are neutered, and up to date on their shots. They are housebroken and are very well behaved. They are about 4 years old. We would love to keep these two boys together if possible; they are the best of friends.

If you know anyone who is interested please call 404-394-3126 or email joanne.cottrell@capitalone.com

Comments disabled, I'm just the messenger and can't answer any questions, just trying to help find them a good home.

Hi, I was wondering if there were any places around town that buy old US coins. I have some Mercury Dimes and some other things around here.

Georgia is one of 33 states...

From the latest e-newsletter from http://www.MegaFamilyProject.org -

"Did you know it is perfectly legal in Georgia to deny employment or fire an employee simply because that person is gay or perceived to be gay?"

Unfortunately, yes, I did know this, and the fact that Georgia is one of 33 states...

The bigger question is:

What are WE going to do about it???

No water for us over weekend :(

[begin rant]

Do they charge you for water services??

If there's no monetary value anybody is losing....why can't we have water over the first weekend we're going to spend at our new home?!

We downloaded the 'transfer of services' document from the DeKalb website, filled it and faxed it yesterday morning(TWICE! Coz they apparently did not receive it the first time...). We spoke to a 'representative' on the phone and she said we wouldn't have anyone cutting us off. But then....since lunch this morning...there's been NO WATER!

We called. Faxed them the documents again during office hours (ofcourse!). But we'll have to WAIT until MONDAY (or maybe more, we did not get any definite answer) for water. So now we're shuttling back and forth from our ol apartment to our home for quick showers, and what not!

There already was a water line. It was working FINE. And now the department also has PROOF of LIFE at the place of residence....so why can't they go ahead and 'turn the faucet' back ON?? If it was easy turning it OFF - it should be easy turning it back ON. (Or am *I* missing something!?)

Can you guess why they'd hold off on our water supply?! I mean...we're NOT talking gas supply (which is expensive) or electricity (which is also kinda expensive!).

[/end rant]
