Looking for a road bike

I am looking for a road bike for fun recreational use. I have been checking out craigslist and ebay and wondered if the Atlanta bikers had any ideas of websites or brick and mortar stores I could check out for a nice bike. I think I am looking for either a single speed (not fixed) or a 10 speed bike. I have about $300-$400 to spend so I'm guessing it will need to be a used bike.

Any ideas or advice is greatly appreicated.

Sorry to the guys that read this

Like I said, sorry guys, but does anyone out there have a recomendation for a female gynocologist in Atlanta? I have United health care, so if they take that it would be grand, but I need to find a doctor sometime in the close future. Id prefer to go to a woman, and someone who is more liberal (as in they wouldnt make me feel whorish for getting birthcontrol - i swear it has happened to friends of mine) Any suggestions are welcome.

Edna Lewis

Edna Lewis, one of the first famed black chefs whose 1976 book "The Taste of Country Cooking" helped spark interest in Southern cuisine, died in her sleep at her home in Decatur, Georgia, her publisher said on Monday. She was 89.

In a statement, Alfred A. Knopf said long-time friend and co-author Scott Peacock was with Lewis when she died. The cause of death was not disclosed. (My addition: Mr. Peacock is an owner in the Watershed Restaurant, Decatur.)
