I caught part of a news story last night about a state congressman that is proposing legislation to De-deregulate the natural gas industry. Gas deregulation has been a nightmare for consumers. My new neighbor thought his $500 gas bill might be for his and my gas combined. I had to explain that I still haven't managed to get mine turned on.

The congressman (D-Macon I believe) said that it will take a mass grassroots effort from citizens to get this done. Go forth and contact your representatives.

i know this is an odd request. :) i am looking for pencil drawings sold on the street in l5p several years ago. the theme of these prints was a little boy and girl looking at stars. they were done in sort of a "goth precious moments" style. from what he has told me, he just sat there drawing them and literally tore them out of his artpad to sell them. he sold every single one that he drew.

he and i are the ones represented in these drawings. i never actually saw them, since we didn't even really know each other yet. now, several years later, we are together. he is the love of my life and i would love to find any of these to have as a surprise.

Just heard from my mom the middle school teacher that we're getting a day off on Tuesday...This probably isn't just for DeKalb County, either. She said it's because of Coretta Scott King's funeral. More news as it comes (checking the AJC site now and there is no news as of yet). Just thought I'd report this FYI.

I have almost successfuly restored 2 1920's tigerwood mahogany end tables. This is what I need that I can not find at Lowes or Home Depot. I need Briwax or Restor-A-Finish and 2 hepplewhite style pulls. Anyone know where I can get these?

Driving around lately I've been seeing several billboards proclaiming "Every Day Is An Opening Day," the official, branded new slogan of The ATL.

And it got me to thinking, what's really so great about opening days? They're almost always overhyped, overcrowded, overheated and noisy.

Then again, maybe that makes it all the more appopriate as Atlanta's motto...

Is there any swanky supermarket in the ATL that sells the delicious, purple forbidden rice?

Hoping to get new phone maybe, even used. More or less, I am hoping to do a trade off, but phone must be in good condition for me to trade mah psp for it. I am looking for a Tmobile phone, preferrably a blackberry, because my antennae is starting to mess up, and I am not paying to fix it as I will be switching services in a few months. Not posting on ebay because I am doing even exchange, item for item, and I have to see phone before switching.
