[Admin] Chat Information and Rules
Since the chat rooms, while a whole ton of fun, have a high potential to get OUT OF HAND, there are a few rules and other things you should be aware of before plunging in.
In general, just be aware that the chat rooms are an extension of this community. The same rules for behaviour and coherency apply there as they do here. Basically, you should keep these things in mind:
- Follow community rules. Play nice, speak a recognizable variant of English (limit your chatspeak), stay more or less on topic.
- Note that behaviour in the chat room can be considered grounds for banning. If you're an ass in chat, then you've been an ass on community property, and you're unwelcome until you learn to not be an ass. It's pretty simple.
- Anything you say in chat may be quoted. Talking in the chat room is just like discussing things in community posts, and might indeed at one point be a part of community posts. When we post quotes, we will change your AIM names to your lj usernames. If you'd like for us NOT to include something in our roundups, just tell us. We try to respect your wishes =)
Having said that, actual information on the chats! Please note that all information here is true unless we specifcy otherwise in that week's episode discussion post -- i.e., time might change, or room name, but unless otherwise stated, this is it.
Chat Name: Avatar Chat
Chat Time: 7:30pm - 1:00am EST (4:30 pm - 10:00 pm PST)
Same Bat time, same Bat place every week folks =D
If the link doesn't work (and sometimes, AIM is cranky) just send an IM to naytwopointoh or zanydoodles and ask to be invited. No need to be shy!
For users of other IM programs: you're encouraged to start your own chats, but
