| About: |  1. this is a rant comm. as such, people are going to be bitching about things that might make you upset. it's your responsibility to decide whether or not you can maintain a level head in that discussion, and stick to the topic at hand, and if you can't, it is your responsibility to stay out of that thread so that i don't have to forcibly remove you from the comm. no name-calling, personal attacks, or otherwise trollish behavior will be tolerated. 2. swearing is allowed. so if words like "bitch" or "dickhead" or "cumdumpster" offend your delicate sensibilities, GTFO. 3. rants are "anything goes." i am not about to tell anyone what they can or cannot be angry about, or how they are allowed to feel about something. if you feel like degrading katara's moral fiber or questioning zuko's sexual orientation or even laughing at what a useless cripple teo is, go for it. be prepared for a SHITLOAD of replies arguing with you, but i'm not going to stop you from spraying your ATLA-related angst all over the internets. just remember "rule" #1. 4. rants about other fans should ideally be kept anonymous. that is, try not to name whoever you're griping about. the sentiment will come across just as well, and you lessen the risk of triggering all kinds of wank and butthurt should the person you're ranting about discover your rant. if you really want to name names, i won't stop you, just be prepared for the impending shitstorm. 5. when in doubt, use your brain. a.k.a. that lump of gray matter that keeps your skull from caving in. common sense is your friend. the same general standards for decent human behavior apply here the same as any other comm on LJ (capslock comms excepted). at the end of the day, all i expect is that you don't stomp around acting like a total douchebag and pissing on everyone's parade. **BANNINGS** if you get banned, you're always welcome to message me (view my profile, and click the link under my username) to ask what's up or appeal your ban. depending on the circumstances, it could be as simple as "you got carried away and broke a rule, but you're welcome to come back once you cool down." not all bans are permanent. ;) | |
