Hello there, Alanta Lolitas,
I'm actually from a small town in Florida, (Melbourne, if you've heard of it) but I'm planning a road trip and Atlanta is one of the big places on my list. As a fellow loli, I was wondering if you knew of any good urban places to visit - especially to shop for anything Japanese - be it clothing, stationary, knickknacks, etc. (and it does not necessarily have to be Japanese; perhaps if you know of a few places that just sell wonderful things) Also, if you know of any nice urban cafes or coffee shops around town as well, I would be delighted to have the addresses or websites to such places. Thanks so much for your help! I might even be able to attend the international loli day! ^___^

check out little five points. its just an awesome place regardless of anything else. Some of the most unique shopping in town and its relatively reasonable too! I also LOVE downtown decatur and one of my favorite cafes is there. Its called Java Monkey. They have a website somewhere. Enjoy!

In Marietta off of Windy Hill Rd and Cobb Parkway, there's a small strip mall that has a great little trio of Japanese resturaunt, grocery store, and book store + mini cafe (Umezuno, Tomato, and Books Japan, respectivly). All three are really great places to visit~

I also second Little Five Points... You may also try the Virginia Highlands, I was there recently and they had some stores that looked promising and full of the wonderful :)

At the discovery mills mall off of the sugarloaf parkway exit on I-85 (north of the city) there are a couple stores there. There is a sanrio store, and another store which has alot of cute Korean stationary. There's another asian store which has some Japanese items. Recently I went there and they had a few "kimono"(lol) but also some REAL yukata availible. But sadly no obi that I saw.
If you go to the mall, you gotta stop at the "alpaca connection" cause those alpaca plushies are awesome XD

Other noteworthy stuff:

- Tomato as mentioned by emiko
- Buford Highway for a mile or so North of I285 and a few miles of it South of I285
-- There's even this like world food market place with 20 flavours of Ramune soda!!
