That's right, I'm going on a hiatus. I want to take a break from the madness and everything that's pissing me off here. It's sad anymore, not as much fun. I'll be on AIM and MSN, for those that have my contact info. If you don't have it, don't ask for it.

Also, I'll be catching up on some RPing with friends. We're always looking for new comers, so if you're interested, come check out Forandia. The group isn't as active because we all hang out in a chatroom and forum.

If I don't reply to any messages you leave here, then blame yourself for not reading this. I may check messages, but only rarely. I'll be back once I feel better. =P

All requests paid for will be done though, so don't worry about that.

Though I am on hiatus from AthLi & Co, I decided to just check in on our LJ community and see how it is doing. Not very active...guess I picked a good time to take a break. :P
Just to inform you, the AthLi & Co. website is down for the moment, Bravenet kind of screwed me over...when I return I will be reworking it and hopefully it will be better than ever!

Anyhow, just to post something interesting on here, I made a gothic lolita fashion slideshow awhile back - care to have a look? I know you'll like it, Lisu. xD
It'll be fun to go back to developing gothloli fashions. Watching this again makes me miss it.

I stumbled across this on YouTube, and it's possibly one of the funniest things I've ever seen. It captures those silly people you hope you don't get when you use the "Chat Now" feature so well.

That aside, it's fun to meet new people. ^^ Some of them though...WTF?
Hehe.

Sure, sometimes it's flattering. Sometimes it tells you that your work is so good, people just want it that much.

But it's also insulting.
When a really great developer you know of and really enjoy their work suddenly lets you down, it's disappointing.

I wouldn't have minded so much if they had asked, or maybe just one part of it, but they took and used the whole damn thing. Images, text color, even panel border design. It kinda makes me sick to my stomach. I haven't even had my new layout images that long!

I just don't understand WHY. They are a great developer with great items, they're even in the Developers Inc. group. There is no excuse to what they've done, because if they are that good, I know damn well they can make their own and be creative.

I went to their page to leave a message. They were gifted one of my products and I was going to say I hoped they were enjoying it. As soon as the page loaded, my heart just sank. I left them a message.
Then I realized who they were, and my stomach just churned. I left them another message, asking why such a good dev needs to take my layout.

I could be heartless and change the image links to something horrible, since she's even using the direct link from my photobucket... I've done it before. I may if she doesn't change it. >.>

I took a screen shot, in case she writes back denying, or unleashes claws at me. I don't know how this person will react. I wasn't mean in my messages, I wasn't rude.
I was forward, though.

People always confuse forwardness and sternness with rudeness. So I'm hoping they won't do that.
But if they do, I'm prepared. But my hopes are all on that she cooperates with me.

The last two who took something of mine did.

EDIT:
I received a message back, and all I really got was "I'm offended" and blah blah bleh. It had a little rude undertone on it, but I ignored it.
They referred to the bug everyone gets when they goto someone else's page. That is, you see your page instead of the others. If it's happened to you, then you know what I'm talking about. I've had it happen plenty of times, and I never accused anyone of taking my layout.. because I KNEW it was a bug.
This time it was hardly a bug, at least one I've gotten before. It was THEIR page, with all THEIR images/stickers/avi pic, BUT it had MY layout background images. For the main background, panel header background and panel body background. This was not the same error, if it was an error.

I told them and even sent them the link to the screen shot. I have yet to get a response.

After I had sent them the first message, it was about 5 minutes after I asked a friend to look at the page. They did not see it. I went and the background images were gone, it was just all black in the background areas.

So, either it really was a bug, or they took the 5 minutes to take everything down before they messaged me back. I don't know, and I'll never know. If anything were to start, it would be more of a "she-said-he-said" thing.

So yeah, moving on. ^^

Yes... my dev work is still at a stand still, but not because of the Lolita Magazine anymore, it's because of my computer. v.v

The Previewer and the IMVU client suddenly run extremely slow. They were laggyish before, but not like this. I've done everything I can think of to try and find/fix the problem.

I know part of it is because of my computer, it's old. But I just feel that there's something else that caused this. Why? Because Photoshop runs just fine.

This all started when I was on Gaia one day. They started this event with water balloons and junk. I went into one of the town things, it was ok at first, but it got really laggy after a bit when the town filled with people, so I left.
Then I went to the forums where the other half of the event was going on. I checked things out to see what the hype was all about. The forums were over whelmed with people, and it seemed that Gaia's servers were having trouble keeping up because I was having a hard time loading the forums, where as everything else was loading normally. I left there as well.

After all that, suddenly my computer runs slow on somethings, especially graphic type things, like IMVU chat and the games on Gaia. Everything was fine before this event thing that I just had to check out because I'm a curious kitty. =\

I feel like Gaia broke something on my computer, lol. But I'm not blaming it, as my computer is almost crap to begin with.

So, if you see me online on chat, I'm on my husband computer. I'm going to try and make some hair at least, or something that won't take too long. I miss making things. v.v

I won't be making anything for a while. Not only because I'm having a lack on creativity, but because I REALLY need to work on the Lolita Mag, especially since we've had a very important member quit. ^^;;

I'm late on the things I need to be working on, and the person who quit only gave me a few pages they finished. We have no articles or anything, so I have alot of work on my hands. I really want to continue this magazine.

With this person leaving, it basically leaves me in charge. So I may be recruiting a ton a people to help me soon. >.<

And when I say recruiting, I mean people that I would hope to stay with the magazine until they can't anymore. These people will help work on each new magazine, not just one and move on. But for now I just need to get this months issue out. T__T Which will be late... so.. yay ^^;;

Well, my first official fanart was given to me today.
And I must say it's absolutely adorable!



It was done by Chii from IMVU. She asked me if she could draw me, which was a real surprise. No one has ever wanted to draw me without wanting something in return, which usually are art trades. So this was a really nice gesture and I'm really honored to have my first fanart. <3

I've been trying to work on enhancing my current skins.
I worked and played around. I did something that looked OK, but after looking at it and working on it more, I didn't like that anymore.
What I did before made the breasts look too big.


My skins are doll skins, so they are suppose to be petite and elegant.
So I need to work on the breasts to make them appear smaller.


I put collar bones on the skins as well, and I really like how I did them. They look very elegant. I did them the same way I draw them on my regular drawings.


The stomach I only added some slight lighting and shadowing.
It looks pretty nice. I also added some shadowing on the knees, and how they look nice.
Before there was nothing, so it looked really flat.


Now I need to work on the back. The back can be very elegant and I want the backs on my skins to show that. ^^


So keep a look out for those of you who bought my skins, I will be replacing them with these enhanced versions. I will not be touching the face, though, so don't worry. ^^

Here are my rules for requests.
~Contact me with a message. Leave the type you want and what color(s).

All requests cost 1000 credits.
How does this work? If you request a full outfit, each piece will cost you 1000 credits depending on how and what mesh I can work with to make the outfit.
Why? Because it costs me about 1000 credits to just submit the product.
That is usually without the 50 dev tokens, and I don't always have 50 dev tokens.
Once I make it, you have to buy it. If you don't, I won't make anything for you again, UNLESS the item sells REALLY well. Though usually requests don't.
If I can, I will show you preview pictures before I submit.
Also, if you change your name while I'm working on it, TELL ME. If you don't tell me, I will think you left IMVU and will get really upset.
How long will this take? Depends. If you want a different eye color, it will take a one to two days.
If you want a new hair color, it will take one to two days.
If you want a different hair style with a color I've already made, it will take one to two days.
If you want a recolor to an dress/outfit, it will take two to three days.
If you want a completely new dress/outfit with designs I've never done, it could take a week or so.
Give all this some time, too, it could always take me longer because I am a mother and a wife. I have a life outside of IMVU. Doing work for you take time away from my family, so I try to work on it when my husband is at work and my son is napping. Weekdays are best for me to work on something. Weekends are family time.

I do not do sticker or avatar picture requests anymore.
Why no avi pics? Because doing avi pics for people have gotten a little annoying, people ask me to make them one and either don't use it, or change it like two days later to another one. I put my time and effort into making a display picture to be DISPLAYED, not glanced at and replaced. If that sounds bitchy to you, then you must not know how an artist truly feels about their work.
Why no avi stickers? I've had weird things happen to the last few. Their accounts get disabled after they bought the sticker. We don't know why, they were never told. But after that happened twice, I'd rather not make anymore avatar stickers for anyone else.


I have the right to refuse ANY requests, especially if I've had a bad experience with you, or if you are rude.
If you give me credits first thinking I will make you one anyway just because you paid me, you will not be seeing those credits again. I will consider it all a gift.
Why? Because you chose to give them to me at your own will, so if you're going to be stupid enough to give them to me after I refuse your request, or even before I give you an answer, then I'm going to keep them.

If you have a problem with ANY of my rules, then don't request from me. I will NOT change them for you.

But if you do leave one here, at least let me know on my homepage.

~About my avatar~
My avi is my doll. I dress her up in different outfits all the time. She is never in the same outfit twice in one day. The picture on my profile pic is just the current one I like for the moment. I try not to change it too much. ^^; My avi is also different characters, and has different personalities. Not to mention she can change to a male! Ok, not really. I also have a male avi that I hardly use.

Also, I would like to point out my pixel dolls on my page are not up for grabs. You do not have permission to take them and use them for whatever purpose you might have.
They're not up for "adoption" or anything like that. They're just to look at and enjoy. =3 I plan on making stickers out of most of them, so if you want them on your page, buy them. ^^

~About the background images on my page~
NONE of my background images are for your own personal use. I made them just for me and my page. I have come across a page that took my images, even direct linked, for thier own page. No where did I see any credit to me on thier page. I do NOT take kindly to people takeing something that is not thiers for thier own use. If you like something someone has done, either ASK(!!!) or MAKE YOUR OWN. I will not be kind or take mercy on ANYONE I come across who have taken something of mine. I will not be private about it, and I WILL be very forward.
