Whether you're a resident of Athens, a student or alum of the University of Georgia, a Bulldog fan, or just someone interested in the town, we look forward to meeting you.
By participating in the community, you agree to abide by the community rules listed below. With 400+ members, it's not possible to please all of the people all of the time, but these common sense rules keep the majority happy.
Rules:
1. Flame wars will not be tolerated.
2. Personal attacks or harassment of any sort will not be tolerated.
3. Large images (those over 640 x 480) should be placed behind an LJ-cut. Don't know what an LJ-cut is? Read this. Don't know why it makes a difference whether you LJ-cut something? Read this. This is just basic community etiquette. Because the mods can't edit your post to add an LJ-cut, they may or may not ask you to edit your own post before deleting it.
4. Violations of LJ's Terms of Service will not be tolerated.
5. Spam, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate posts may be deleted by the mods. This is a community for Athens, not just one about Athens; however, this is not your personal journal.
6. Frequent rule violators may be warned and/or banned.
