This community is for adults only. You must be 18 years old to join or watch the community. Please respect this rule. Athelingas is a word Tolkien borrowed from Old English. It means 'A group of sons and daughters of a great king or leader.' In this case, the sons and daughters of Tolkien. With the slight and entirely welcome addition of gay sex. ;) Guidelines: *Posts other than fiction or art are not appropriate. This is not an lotr-discussion community. *Introductions will be deleted if entirely off-topic after a short period of time. *Posts pimping other communities will be allowed or deleted at the whim of the moderator unless prior permission has been sought and granted. fiction and art: *Het and gen are acceptable; some slash content is preferred. *RPS may not be posted, except in crossover. Please feel free to post just about any type of fiction or art here. Elves, hobbits, dwarves, men, orcs (!!)...whatever. Slash, gen or het, AU, canon, fanon, crackfics. WIPs are most welcome! (I love WIPs!) Note: No sexually explicit images involving underaged characters, please! 2. As always, lj-cut is your friend. To be specific, all images (other than your userpic) and stories must be put behind a cut. No matter how beautiful your artwork, it tends to be very hard on dial-up users and can do unwelcome things to people's layouts. Any sexually explicit image posted without a cut and warnings will be deleted without warning as soon as I see it. 3. Because this is a community with many members with diverse tastes, you must specify your pairing(s) in the header for your fic. Please also tell us if your work is het or gen. (Slash is the default for this community. ;D ) 4. Journals that have been deleted or suspended for more than 30 days will be removed from the member list unless I have very good reason to believe that they will be reinstated. 5. Constructive criticism is allowed and encouraged, but flaming, insults and threats are not. Unmodified screencaps and other work that has been taken from other sources must not be posted here without the explicit permission of the copyright holders.
