Apparently people are already calling up the Dorint Hotel trying to book rooms for Asylum Europe. Paul has posted:

Please don't call the Dorint Park Hotel Bad Neuenahr, we have not agreed anything with them yet as we have not decided which hotel to use.

Paul

and in response to posts on the forum:

Hello it is one of the venues we are looking at, it hasn't been decided yet we have been asking for peoples views on the venue so far the majority have said go for it with a few not sure, thinking it is to isolated.

The biggest problem for us is if we find a city centre hotel not only do they want a 5 digit sum to hire the venue but they also want a set minimum of between €50,000 and €60,000 on food and beverage. Plus the average rate we have been quoted for the city centre hotels is €155.00 for a twin/double room.

and

It has 26 conference rooms so it is suitable for conventions.

If the hotel is chosen, which to be honest is pretty high right now as I think I have exhausted the rest of the hotels in the areas, then we will get all the bedrooms it has to offer, ie 235 total rooms that is 45 single rooms and 190 double rooms. 2 people in each double room that is 380 plus 45 = 425 people can stay in the hotel and near by are further hotels. Within 10 mins is another hotel that has 220 rooms.

We would like your feedback on this possible venue.

http://www.rogueevent.co.uk/asylumeurope/venue-feedback.html.

Please let us know what you think by emailing us, we have not chosen this hotel yet but we are looking at it, we like it and think it is in a fantastic area, after all we can visit city centres before or after the convention and we are finding hotels in the main city centres to either be booked or to be honest with you to expensive for us to hire. We are still looking though!

Just a heads-up: I probably wont be online at all from late afternoon today until Monday morning as my brother's getting married on Sunday and we have a constant stream of family dinners/lunches etc from tonight onwards because of family flying in from all over the world. Therefore obviously I wont be around to answer any questions etc. I've spoken to Wayne and Paul and they've said they're not planning on making any announcements about anything over the weekend so you wont miss anything important.

See you Monday, have a good weekend xx

I'm at the point where I'm going to scan the remaining prints so I'd like to put out a final call for emails for unclaimed photos.

Send me the following info, please:

- Your name and address
- Which actor is in the photo
- And please include a sample pic of yourself (preferably from Asylum)

Thanks again, everyone.

Robin

The email address to send to is: asylum3photos@live.co.uk

Sunday 28th June.

I still have a number of prints left and have pretty much finished every email we received.

If you know someone who filled in a slip but has not received their prints yet, please ask them to email me at: asylum3photos@live.co.uk so we can get them sent out.

Once that is done, the last few will be put on a website like photobucket in lo-res so people can ID themselves and let me know their addresses.

We're nearly there and I am extremely grateful for the help you have give me to ID your prints.

We are working extremely hard to locate a venue that is suitable, affordable and in a good location with access to trains and an airport etc.

While we didn't think this would take as long as it did we have come up against resistance to having our type of event at some of the larger hotels in Germany, one hotel even said we don't want those types of events at our hotel!

So we have decided to make it fair on everyone to postpone package sales until we have a city and hotel.

We thank you for your patience.

Best Wishes

At the moment no further guests will be announced for at least one month while we await replies.

We have narrowed it down to three areas Cologne, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.

HUGE NEWS PEOPLE!!!!!!

Asylum 5: Feast of the Dead 2010 (Halloween)

Our fifth Asylum Convention will take place between 29th and 31st October 2010 in England (venue to be confirmed).

This event has been added to our list of Supernatural conventions for 2010, the main reason is that we have almost sold out our Asylum 4 event for May 2010 so rather than increase numbers we have launched a 2nd Supernatural Convention for next year.

This hopefully will allow as many fans as possible of the Supernatural TV series to come to an event to meet the actors who have appeared in Supernatural while not saturating the event scene with too many events.

More information will be forthcoming we just wanted to get this out so that possible attendees will know that if they can't get a package for Asylum 4 there is still a chance to go to a Supernatural Convention in 2010.

Website will launch when we have a venue.

Best Wishes

Rogue Events

meanwhile the event has a section on the Rogue forum here: http://rogueevents.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=a5

ETA: Event Packages won't go on sale until we have confirmed a venue, a similar set of packages as our other events will be available.

ETA2: Paul posted this on the forum:

Sorry read a post on LJ and I can see where it may look like we are ignoring Asylum Europe.

I meant to say it more like this... there is still a chance to go to a Supernatural Convention in 2010 in the UK. While we also have our German Supernatural Convention one week after Asylum 4 so overall you get to choose between three Supernatural events in 2010 in Europe!

update from Robin:

Another big batch of photos has been packed and posted today and we're beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.

The number of new enquiries has slowed to a trickle so I think we have most of the enquiries for missing prints.

Once I get to a handful of remaining photos, I may scan them and put them up on Photobucket and ask people to ID themselves from there.

More news soon.

Asylum 4 is now SOLD OUT, pending them checking through all the orders again for double bookings.

If you've missed out on tickets I'm sorry, no-one anticipated them going so quickly. All is not lost though, dont forget that Asylum Europe takes place the weekend after and there will be up to 800 tickets available for that event. Plus we've still got Hell Hounds on Halloween weekend this year to come and there are still tickets available for that.

Hi

We have 10 tickets left for Asylum 2010.

We are still loading the bookings and will be updating the roman carts with payments recieved in the next few weeks.

The system will be updated weekly for cheque payments and monthly for bank transfers (reason is for cheques it allows them time to clear and the bank transfer we get the bank statements in which has the full information on for payment recieved whilst online only show limited text.)

Thanks

Wayne

Hi,

We've pushed through another batch of photos and the emails with photos attached continue to be a huge help.

More news soon.

Hello

ASYLUM 4 Packages:

While we know that we haven't sold out 100% we have under 100 tickets on the website for sale, once these have been sold unofficially the event is sold out but and here is the but... we know people have ordered twice for some reason only today we have had a number of orders processed twice by people so if it says 'sold out' on the Emerald packages we will be adding more once we cancel of the double upped orders.

Best Wishes

Rogue Events

ETA: I know this is disappointing for those of you who can't afford to buy your tickets yet. Dont forget you can still buy and pay in installments. And also there is going to be Asylum Europe the weekend after and there will be 600-800 tickets available for that, so if you miss out on tickets for A4 there is still a chance to attend a Supernatural convention on this side of the world.

To be honest this has surprised all of us, A3 didnt sell out until January and only after Jensen was announced, so the fact that we're so close to selling out now, with only Jim announced and the unlikelihood of Jensen or Jared being available for next year's events, it's amazing that so many people have booked so early.
