Last Saturday, Sean did a Q&A session following the screening of "The Miracle Worker" starring his mom, Patty Duke, at the ANDKids Film Festival at the University of Notre Dame. His daughters Alexandra and Elizabeth were on stage with him. I've uploaded my video of the Q&A to Youtube, in 3 10-minute segments.

addie71 noted that Sean Astin will be interviewed on WCSX, 94.7, tomorrow morning at 7:45a.m. eastern time. If you have a Windows computer, you can listen to the station on their web site http://www.wcsx.com, but I couldn't get it to work on my Mac. :-(
However, I spoke to John at the radio station, and he said the interview would more than likely be available for download as a podcast later in the day, probably here: feed://wcsx.com/jjandlynne/podcast/

Sorry if this is trite, folks, but it just fractures me. (I can't figure out from the poster's info where the school in question is, sadly.)

There are trailers and tents all over our parking lot, taking up half of the student parking. They're filming at the baseball fields behind the school.
Apparently the movie is called "Demoted", and it stars the guy who played Sean Astin (Rudy, The Lord of the Rings) and David Cross (Arrested Development). All of the nerdy kids are flipping out because they saw Samwise Gamgee in the parking lot.
And in a comment farther down:
A friend of a friend is supposedly going to be an extra.
gets paid $100 to shoot paintballs at sean astin.
Thought #1: Now THAT'S what I call a temp job!
Thought #2: I hope he's wearing some sort of padding. Paintballs HURT. (And leave bruises.)
Thought #3: And this fits into the plot of the movie as I understand it HOW, exactly? :D

I have downloaded a four-part "Behind the Scenes" video from the Forever Strong press site and put them on Megaupload for those of you who have bandwidth, patience, or both. (Sean doesn't have a *lot* of screen time, but he's adorable in his jacket and tie, and his observations on rugby being a brutal sport are quite amusing. Also, the v. brief views of him cheering in the crowd at one of the rugby games are delicious. :-) (Biased? Me? NAAAAH.)

Okay, folks, I am getting seriously psyched about this movie. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, and Sean looks utterly lovely in the preview clips. I can hardly wait until the 26th! But some of you could be lucky enough to see it before then, because there's screenings in a few select cities. Sandy, UT and Provo, UT both have shows TONIGHT. It will screen on the 22nd of this month in Boise, ID; Portland, OR; Mesa, AZ; Tacoma, WA; and Foothill Ranch and Escondido, CA. For more info if you live anywhere near any of those cities, go to the movie's screening site.
I grabbed the production stills and behind-the-scenes shots with Sean in them off the site (they're scattered all the heck over the place, most in the "Press" section, for which you have to register.
