| About: | ABOUT Welcome to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} asoue_chorus! We are a community modelled after hp_chorus, and many others. We are exclusively for lyrical A Series of Unfortunate Events icons. ASOUE is a book series by Lemony Snicket, and is a major motion picture now out in theatres.Every week a lyric is posted, and you have to create an icon from ASOUE using that lyric. Simple, no? The mods of this community are Jenifer ( ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} angelofmusicx08). The ever lovely bananamilk makes the winner's banners.RULES 1. You can only enter one icon per week, and the icon must include at least four words from the lyric posted. No other text is permitted. 2. The icon must fit LJ standards: 100x100 or less, and under 40kb. 3. Do not promote your icon anywhere. No posting of it, and don't tell your friends to come here and vote for you. 4. Do not use other people's bases. Make your own, though you can use other people's brushes/borders/caps. 5. Animation is allowed unless otherwise stated. 6. You can use images from either the books or movies, whichever you prefer. 7. Comment here if you would always like a banner if you win. 8. Not really a rule, but if you win first place, you pick the lyric for next week! HOW WE DO THINGS Every Tuesday evening, angelofmusicx08 will post the winners of the previous challenge at sometime between 8 and 11 CST. You have until the following Sunday at 8 PM CST to submit your icons in the post announcing the challenge. We will post the icons on Sunday evening and the voting will take place until Tuesday evening. All icon submission comments are screened, as well as voting comments. Timetable: Tuesday - evening - Winners from previous challenge and a new challenge are announced. Sunday - evening - The icons are posted and voting begins. Sunday evening to Tuesday evening - Voting. The awards given will be First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Mod's Choice. If you win, you will get a banner, as long as you say you want one here. Please note: You will not have posting access in this community. You do not need to, as you only submit icons in a comment. SUBMITTING Submitting an icon is simple. In the post announcing the challenge, post your icon as an image and the icon's url, like so:  http://img9.photobucket.com/albums/v25/snidgety/asoue/nightmare.png VOTING We have a few simple rules when it comes to voting. 1. Do not vote for your own icon. 2. Vote only once. 3. Vote for three icons, the ones you think deserve first, second, and third. The order counts, so put the number of the icon you want for 1st first, then second, etc. 4. All voting comments will be screened until the winners have been announced.
