This community is for a bunch of women to get together and vent openly, and get some brutally honest advice from girlfriends; hence, posts are encouraged to be locked, and membership is moderated. Membership requests are reviewed by the community around the beggining and middle of each month, and approved or rejected in the following few days. You must be invited by a current member to have your membership considered by the community. All locked posts are not to be discussed outside of the community. This includes your partners, unless that partner is part of the community. You may obviously ask permission from the poster of an individual post to discuss a particular post with someone outside of the community. However, she may say no. We are a diverse community, made up of women of different ages, sexualities, and locations, who have made varying choices regarding work, marriage and parenting. If you express unmerited disapproval of someone else's age, sexuality, or choices regarding work, marriage, or parenting, you should expect to be met with disdain and cluebats. There is a huge difference between saying that a particular choice might not be the best thing for a certain person and suggesting that a certain choice is wrong in all cases, or generally bad. Personal attacks on posters or people mentioned in posts will not be tolerated. There is a difference between saying "you need to talk to him about your feelings" and "you dumb c**t, why haven't you said anything!" If you can't figure out which is appropriate, please don't say anything at all. Once you are approved for membership in the community, please make an introductory post. Tell us who you are, how you came by the community, and a bit of background that may help us all along the way to understanding the worldview from which your need for advice or comments of advice come from. You may also post a question or other thread-starting topic in that post, but it is not a requirement. Introductory posts are saved in memories and tagged so new members can see who they are talking to (once her membership has been approved). This community is a drama-free zone. Please respect that.
