Going to shows alone?
Anyone ever felt hesitant on going to a show alone when friends don't feel like going with you? Would you need the company of someone you know to actually have fun? I've done this more than once and I usually feel fine with it, it's just during the periods in between the bands' sets when I feel bored/wierd. occassionally I'd just strike up a conversation with a stranger or something.

	Nah, I tend to have to do this all the time, as my tastes differ a lot from my friends'. Really, you don't talk to your friends much during shows overall, and sometimes you get separated anyway, so it doesn't affect my enjoyment much. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	That's actually pretty true. That happened to me before and I was actually fine with it. I did get seperated from friends, but I didn't mind at all. It's the beginning that's kind of awkward, but you get used to it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It's not really the matter of company of having fun though. I kind of have social anxiety so I don't like the idea of going to places where I don't know people. (Reply to this)

	a band called iron lung is playing next week and i'll most likely be going by myself. i'm just stuck with what to do between the bands' sets. that's when i would usually talk to my friends who are with me, but when that's not the case i'll just walk around or make small talk with other people. my friend tells me to bring a book, wtf?
