Overwhelmed by the Future

I'm the girl who posted eons ago about boobs and when they stop growing, as well as gel-liners.  And yeah, I haven't made much progress -_- but that's ok!
I have more urgent matters at hand.

I'll just organize all that into my inquiries below:
1. How did you guys tackle taking on all these tests, especially the SAT's?  what's the best way to study and not commit suicide?
2. How did you choose the college you went to? Did majors and careers come into mind at all?
3. How did you choose your major?  What went into account?
4. What about your career?  What's most important to you?
5. If you could go back in time and change anything, what would it be?
Help.
6. Any other advice?

ps.  This is really random, but I remember a girl posted a store's site that was clothing with old-school embroidery, only adult.
It was kinda profane, but really cute, eg: 'Will fuck for shoes'  The creator was caucasian, french or polish.  It's killing me. Tell me!

TIA.  I love this community too damn much.

OT: Study Tips

So basically, I've pretty much always been one of those cram-at-the-very-last-last-last-minute people, for anything I've ever had to study/do. Finals, tests, quizzes, papers, SATs, APs etc... you name it and I probably only started studying/doing 8 hours before.

After doing this for the past couple of years I've decided that enough is enough. Always cramming at the very, very last minute is really not doing too much for me, physically or mentally. And even though I do passingly alright, I know that I could do better than I do if I had actually really studied. So in an attempt to start getting back into the habit, I've decided to give long-term studying a shot and to compile a good study schedule for the June LSAT. Unfortunately, I consider long-term studying to be taking 3 or 4 SATs each day for 4 days straight right before the actual test. Which is probably still considered cramming to a degree.

So yes, I guess I'm just asking for some tips on how you guys figured out a good study routine for you, what actually works for you, what you do to get motivated and…yeah, just study tips in general. Both big time tests like the SAT, LSAT, GRE, etc... and regular keeping up with class studying tips are welcome. I haven't really sat down and studied without just hardcore cramming for so long that I think I've forgotten how to do it.

I checked lj-seek but couldn’t really come up with anything directly about study tips in and of themselves, so hopefully some good tips can be offered up? Or at least a link to a post about them if I was stupid and somehow missed it.

OT: FINALS

Sorrysorrysorry for posting an OT right after the MOD post, but I am a little desperate/psycho/crazy at the moment. (Don't worry, this time I searched the LJ past posts and couldn't find anything on this topic...)

Cut for your convenience. )

OT: Freshman Year

I will be moving into my dorm in nine days at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. I don't really have to worry about my roommate since we went to high school together and are pretty good friends (whether this lasts or not I'm not sure :/). Anyway, I just wanted to know if you guys had any tips for surviving college, what is essential for the dorm room, etc. Also any recommendations for dining, shopping, clubbing in Philly. I'm excited because Tyler is right next to a Korean food mart.
