...okay, so that's only amusing to me. But I love the support system in Fire Emblem games. Shipping gives me a gameplay advantage? Awesome.

fuuuucking hell..I think Registry Mechanic deleted or messed with some important WIA (windows image acquisition) reg files, and I'VE BEEN WONDERING why wia wouldn't work with photoshop anymore. It's not 'cause of server 2003 D: I don't know how to fix this >:( There is no guide online that tells you which regs need to be fixed or restored, 'restoring' the reg mechanic backups didn't work (probably because I used it before making a new image & am working from that one..several image restores ago~~~ &&&, dammit! so frustrating. I don't want to do full system install again. Might go steal the old laptop and use that for scanning. HP 2200c interface sucks the big one, i hate it that much.

REJOICE, FANDOM~ *bouncing up and down in utter delight*
After SO LONG waiting and hoping that they'd finally release a Vampire Knight guide book or something, it has finally been announced~! YAY!! *utter delight*
I'd have LOVED for it to be an artbook, but that will most likely follow at some point or another. *-*
Meanwhile, the Vampire Knight Fan Book (as in book for fans, not as in fanbook/doujinshi XD) has been announced and will be for sale in Fall 2008. (Probably timed for season 2 to attract more sales.)

The book will have info about the characters and the VK universe, as well as sections that mix fun and serious stuff with answers to questions the fans have about VK, and all sorts of interesting tidbits.
It includes "questions answered by the characters" and "possible secrets to find out". GYAH~<3
There will be a section where Hino-sensei answers the fans' questions also. *0*
They're currently accepting questions etc for the sections of it that will have more fan interaction.
They said they accept fanart. OMG I AM SO TEMPTED. *would die of joy if her art appeared in a book with official VK stuff* XD XD
But participations aside, that would be utterly awesome but it's not the main thing: the main thing is how awesome a VK guidebook is~~!
I'm running in circles in delight just at the idea of having that book, I've been SOOOOOOOOO wanting one for so long. XDDDD ♥
Also, people participating in the various corners will be given fan club membership numbers. XD *IS SO JOINING KANAME'S* Uhm, we are all like those girls screaming by the gates as they open, bwhahahaha.

Edit: Some info for people who speak/write Japanese and may be interested in participating and writing them questions. ^_^/
The participation in all of the sections is not obligatory. People can ask Hino-sensei questions, or ask questions to the characters, but it's not something that has to be done, I guess people just participate in what they want, if they want to participate in one of those sections and if they have a question that's relevant or something. :)
But to avoid being disappointed, do keep in mind that it's really not guaranteed that anything will make it into the book.
The series is really popular, and they'll probably be getting thousands of questions from Japan alone, while they have limited space (those books are never very thick... ^^;), so they'll probably pick the most interesting questions or the ones that match more what they already had in mind to talk about in the book, so... ^^;
Best not get hopes up to have something appear, since it's not certain. ^^/ Just so that you don't get disappointed if you do write and it never shows up.
Lastly, for people who live out of Japan, the participation thingie involves fanclub membership numbers being given, and they ask you for address and phone etc, which makes me think that maybe if you don't live in Japan, it's not a certain thing that you can participate. (It doesn't says if they'll be sending something or not, little cards or anything, but generally, when addresses are asked things tend to be more restricted... Usually companies are not too happy about paying international shipping fees when they had planned to be doing it locally only. XD;;)
So, it's not a certain thing that everybody can participate, or if it's Japan-only due to shipping fees or whatever. ^^;;/
But if you speak/write Japanese and want to write a question or send a fanart, you can always try, and if you're lucky and they accept it, wah it's awesome~! *_*//

*whines* I feel so disconnected without my phone!! I was trying to install the latest software update at lunch on my iPhone today (I want to play around in the Apps store, OMFG yays!!) but I needed the latest update first. The download took FOREVER, and then the install was running long, too. I needed to get back to work, and I *thought* the message it was displaying was a minor one, so I simply unplugged my phone from iTunes and left for work. *facepalms* My phone was only displaying an icon telling me to re-connect it to iTunes. My phone was offline all afternoon, and I felt so lost!! Yes, sad, I KNOW. But I love my iPhone so, and I have it with me and on at all times! Gah.
*runs off to check on the update* It's sooooo slow!! But I'm sure it'll be worth it. X3
Oh, and apparently iTunes now offers Bleach and Death Note, which is AWESOME. I must download me sum Bleach liek now fur mah phone! *plays with a shuvel*

I love the japanese fandom for those things. *rotfl*
We were listening to a reupload of Kaname's episode of the VK internet radio (last week's episode) on an online community where people post their comments/reactions and they pop up on the video right away (nicovideo love, for those of you who know it X3), and in the moment where he says in a sexy voice that line he says to Yuuki in the first anime episode, about feeling lonely when she acts too formal, it was naturally an explosion of moe from all the people listening, and... someone said his voice was so sexy that she got pregnant just from listening to it.
*ROTFLMAO*
Sorry, it's probably one of those things that only sounds funny if you're there when it happens, and also in the crazy fangirling mood, but uhm. *giggles and giggles, still listening to the radio thingie* X3
My comments are never as entertaining. XD They usually revolve around Kaname moe though.

This week it was Ichijou, but they didn't say who will be next week. So I'm running in circles hoping it will be Kaname again (no way, so soon XD), or that it will be Zero, or at least Aidou. *gurgles*
I think they'd have announced Zero. So it will probably be Cain, who is less popular. Or perhaps Shiki.
Shiki would be funny. Ichijou was worried if he'd be able to do it by himself, so if it's Shiki, maybe there will be an Ichijou intervention when he falls asleep over the papers. XD XD
(I think he'll do even worse than Kaname, hahahaha. XD Kaname was utterly unmotivated, only did it because Yuuki asked, kept sighing throughout the whole episode, and occasionally got stuck on words/stumbled with the strange titles of things that Aidou and Ichijou had come up with. XD XD XD SO LOVELY~<3333333333333333 Adorable Kaname is adorable. *melts*)
So yeah, I think it will probably be Cain, since Ichijou was last time and thus it's unlikely it will be Shiki this time if there would be an Ichijou intervention. *lol*
I could be totally wrong though. XD It could be any of the six. XD

There's a problem with someone in my family.
Everyone else is sad and worried but I feel normal.
My mum told me the news and she was obviously upset.
In truth i'm surprised she told since everyone seems to hide serious things from me. Whether it's to do with someone else or my own life, they never want to tell me.
Still she was upset and the only thing I could say was 'oh'. I didn't feel anything. I think I just said 'oh' to show that i'd heard and understood what she said.
Then she asked if I was alright. I obviously said yes I was fine but I don't think she believed me.
Truth is I was fine. I still am and i've had a few days to think it over.
This happened before too when my Grandad went into hospital.
No one told me anything about his condition just that he was unwell. I still remember my mum coming into my room crying and saying he'd passed on.
I didn't feel anything then. I just nodded and said 'oh'.
Even at the funeral everyone kept asking if I was fine to which I replied 'yes'. No one seemed to believe me but I did feel fine.
Does that make me a bad person?
The fact then I don't feel anything when people close to me are hurt, unwell or have died?
I get upset when pets pass on so why don't I when family do?
Maybe i'm in a constant denial.
I have no idea.

Manga artist Youka Nitta has deleted her entire webpage and blog on Tuesday, and left only an apology in the wake of revelations that she traced photographs in her works. In the apology, she reiterated her sorrow over the "copyright infringement in using photographs I thought 'looked good' in my illustrations." She added that she will stop future writing work and apologized again to the copyright holders of the photographs, the people involved, "and the readers who have enjoyed the works of Youka Nitta, even for just a little bit."
The Japanese publisher Libre has pulled direct links to Nitta's back-catalog from its b-boy website — including even mentions of her works in Libre's CD catalog and product news. Nitta's apology on the front page and the bulletin board dedicated to her still remain on the site, and the pages about some of her works are still indirectly available by searching for her name from other products' pages.
Auuuggghhh I am so depressed about this. And just depressed in general, but this takes the cake. I AM SO DEPRESSED SOMEONE HUG PLZ D;;;;;; Wry sensei? wry you do dat, and wry you quit!? I can't believe it's come to this..no more Iwaki-san and Katou sexins and tender lovins. It's like, they die all over again.
Here's the gist, Youka Nitta has been copying, and in some cases tracing (sigh), some of her cover designs/colored artwork and splash pages for magazines from high-profile magazine shoots and photographic art. I am not surprised because it's always been patently obvious to me, she took no steps to hide it or anything, and I personally don't care that she does this. /beside the point. Some douche bag with a grudge (personal opinion heh) has been biding their time saving up all the evidence of her copyright infringement for years, waiting for her to become "mighty", and only recently let it all loose. And now she says she'll stop all present and future writing, with apologies etc etc, saying she didn't know better.
Gods, why couldn't she have gotten permission for her copies D; How can she be so naive... heart. broken.
Also I got jury-duty summons D: WHAT THE FUCK DAY? Christ, I hope I completely spaz so they don't pick me or anything D: *has no confidence in making own choices, much less life-altering decisions for OTHER PEOPLE WTF?* *DIES* I'm going to have a heart attack in anxious anticipation before that day even comes. Hey..do people with anxiety disorders get striked off the list? Like what if I do, and then have a a panic attack in middle of court? /////////argh/////////

Edit: also, as to this 10 day absence (wow, a record),my allergies have been acting up like never before and making existence pure misery. Mostly eye allergies..and they're the worst..I just wanted to sleep forever. Got some eyedrops which seem to be helping now :\ It made me all depressed and stuck in that grey place, not able to move forward or back, like an invisible box. It's hard to explain. Plus insomnia, bills, life sucks, etc etc. I feel so useless like this, sorry peeps.

Being good at something (being art, fiction or other) does not give you the right to be an ass or laugh at others' work. On the contrary, it should make you humble and grateful for the attention and admiration your work gets.
No one is born with raw talent. It's something that is nurtured from the heart and everyone is capable of it. People can be real vicious, especially in fandom.
Ironic, how those who can't draw/write, criticize horribly and make fun of other's stuff... seriously, get a life.
Pisses me off every time I come across this. Too bad I can't do anything about it.
