For some reason, even in prose, they were walking off into the west in the end. I don't know why. It pretty much became established that Dr. Macaulky's place was east of Thorton, because it popped up in a future bit in which we'll see hi-

I think I'm doing well for someone whose pens are dying art-wise now.

Someone needs new pens before their birthday.

The thought of the two of them walking west Into The Sunset just seems right.
