03/08/09 - 12:01 - Challenge 16; Want, fic by [info]gblvr, art by [info]mella68
Lorne/Zelenka
Title: Want
Author: [info]gblvr
Artist: [info]mella68
Pairing/Rating: Lorne/Zelenka, PG-13
Author Comments: written for [info]artword challenge #16: color; I suggested red, blue and purple (for determination, intuition and passion, respectively), and let my partner run with it.... I was pleased as punch when the art came back, and it was based on The Game, because this is an episode tag, of sorts, for that very episode! So, thank you very much, [info]mella68, for your extreme patience, and for the fantastic art!

(I used a mouseover for in-text translations of the Czech - just hover over the words, and voila! Instant English!)

Artist’s Notes: Thanks to [info]ca_pierson for being incredible patient with me. You've been a joy to work with!

Author’s Notes: Thanks to darkmoore, you’re the best big sister one could want and generally just the best. Also, thank you so much for betaing this monster. Madeira, thanks for the collaboration and the inspiration.

Summary: Being sent to recruit someone for the Atlantis expedition wasn’t Rodney’s idea of a good time.

( Full image here. )

(Rodney looked nervously at the door. He’d been sitting in the rental car for nearly ten minutes already and he just couldn’t make himself get out and ring the door bell. This was going to go over so badly and there were a lot of things Rodney would rather be doing that afternoon than this.)

Author: [info]darkmoore
Beta: [info]ca_pierson
Pairing: McKay/Sheppard

Word count: Way too long again, aka 11855 words
Disclaimer: Not mine. No money made no harm intended, I do this just for fun.

Author's Notes: This is crack. Really. No way around it. And it was lots of fun to write. Please, please don’t take it too serious. Or better yet, not serious at all. Thanks go to my lovely sister, Cass. Who made me hold on when I wanted to give up. You’re awesome.

Summary: That’s what you get for not acknowledging the love of your life!

03/02/09 - 19:01 - #16 - Visual Acuity
John/Rodney - you + me = we
Title: Visual Acuity
Author: propinquitine
Artist: le_mot_mo
Pairing and/or characters: Rodney McKay/John Sheppard, Rodney McKay, John Sheppard.
Rating: PG
Word count: 8800
Spoilers: Minor through 5x20

Author's notes: Major thanks for various combinations of betaing, audiencing, and cheerleading to [info]beadattitude, [info]fish_echo, [info]kimberlyfdr, [info]winkingstar, and M. (It takes a village, heh.) Also, thanks to [info]le_mot_mo for her support throughout the process, and for the absolutely gorgeous art.

Summary: "There's not a cloud in the sky, Colonel," Rodney said, and John had just enough time to register Teyla's look of concern, Ronon's frown, and Rodney's suddenly colorless eyes before everything went black.

Artist's notes: It was great fun to work together with [info]propinquitine. :o) We first decided on three main colours that we would use in both fic and artwork. [info]propinquitine then wrote the first draft of her fic and sent it to me. I created artwork for it and sent the artwork back to her. Based on the artwork she then rewrote some parts and added an ending.
