7:14 pm - HOPE bracelets

whorion
I went crazy one night and made about five of these, hah. I was wondering if anyone would be interested. I'm asking $8 to cover the supplies and the postage and I'm going to donate $6 of each bracelet sold to the Chris Hani Hospital (or if you prefer, another organization of your choice. I made a few pink ones for breast cancer).

I also can make them in any color. Red, white, clear, yellow, green, blue, pink, purple, brown.

Here is a picture of the red one )

If you're interested either comment here or you can e-mail me directly at: livelearnlife (at) gmail dot com.

I'm new to the community. What a great concept, I'm kinda disapoointed that there are such huge gaps between the entires.
I just quit my job at JoAnn Fabrics and used my discount while I still could. I have a break between now and the new job I'm getting. So be expecting some more posting from me, hopefully waking some of you up.

Anyway, since this is an introduction kinda, here's a little Hanson self-portrait postcard I did.

1:26 pm - TOTES!

surely_doubt_it

In preparation for the upcoming tour, I thought I would make a tote bag or two that was Hanson inspired.  I have finished my first bag and it turned out really great.  I thought that I might sell them, if anyone was interested...

Check out my journal for pictures and info!  I would love some feedback!

Thanks!

2:51 pm - you are probably sick of these

whorion
The past weekend I spent an HOUR at Hobby Lobby up in Port Huron. Well, that's a bad idea because it gets my mind going with things I can do. There are already a few people on my list that are creating things and donating their profits to a good cause, so here's one more. After seeing the generosity of many of my peers in the past week, I had to do something. All the profits I make from selling these bags will go to the HIV Research Unit in Soweto, which you probably know benefited from "The Great Divide".

Every little bit helps.

I don't think I've ever posted this bag here. I stenciled it around two years ago, but in the spirit of the tour I thought I'd post it.

Cut for images )

The sad part is, I love it but I hardly ever use it. It's too big for day-to-day use and too small for me to use as an overnight.

3:04 pm - more hanson inspired AIDs africa stuff

secondhandshoes

i made this fleece scarf this morning to keep my neck toasty in the once-again plummeting temperatures. the symbol and details are all hand-stitched on and made of colored felt. if you prefer different colors you can have that too, i just made them dark red, tan, brown, and that weird orange-y color to coincide with the usual hanson colors.

each scarf is $25 and proceeds from that (after cost, but most of the money) benefit the same place that the proceeds from the great divide itunes sales went to: the perinatal HIV unit @ chris hani baragwanath hospital in soweto, south africa. I ONLY HAVE TWO TAN ONES LEFT. if you don't mind white fleece, i can make more, but as it is, i only have TWO, so these are very "limited edition" haha. if you are dying to help a great cause and just don't dig white or light tan, i can of course accommodate you and we can work something out.

11:25 pm - OWL ALWAYS LOVE YOU presents hanson inspired ipod cases

secondhandshoes

i made these ipod cases/cell phone cases tonight while bored with nothing to do. they're mainly composed of fleece so that your ipod and cell phone don't get scratched. the symbol and details are all hand-stitched on and made of colored felt. these are only three samples of what i have in mind, although if you would like different arrangement that's fine by me also. if you prefer different colors you can have that too, i just made them dark red, tan, brown, and that weird orange-y color to coincide with the usual hanson colors. available colors in main fleece are white, light tan, fushia, and light blue. any color available in the felt.

each case is $15 and proceeds from that (most likely 50% but i haven't yet figured out what the bare cost of each one is) benefit the same place that the proceeds from the great divide itunes sales went to: the perinatal HIV unit @ chris hani baragwanath hospital in soweto, south africa. for more information on where that is, you can check it out for yourself.

I was just messing around one day and decided to make my own totebag because I was bored, haha. This is the finally product(s). And I have a question for those who make them as well. How do you make stencils? I would really love a bag with the headphones on it. :[ I'd even pay someone to do one for me.

Since so many people were interested in the my tote bags, I've decided to sell them over at my journal.

Get a Tote!

They cost $12 - $17, depending on what you get printed.

Tell your friends, too, please!

I made a bag. I was experimenting with paper. It sucks. I don't know how you guys do it. You can't really tell, I don't think, but it's glittery, too.

Screen printing for me, from now on, baby.

Still contemplating what to put UNDER the symbol. A word or phrase of some sort. Possibly "tumbling down," though not sure. Either Taylor or headphones on the back. I'll post more pictures when it's done.

2:54 pm - My first piece of work!

Title: I'm Using My Fingers instead of Words..
Genre: Hancest
Pairing: Zaylor
Rating: R. maybe X. but definitely R.
length: 1,723
Chapters: One?
Notes: This is my first Hanson fiction, and I worked really hard on it. My friend Lindsay helped me, after we decided that we couldn't find any Hanson stories that we hot enough for consumption, we wrote our own. so beware, some might consider this filthy, others might consider it to be a work of art.
