Birth from Los Angles is making a stop in NYC , look for crazy synth punk/ I actually saw this guys do a whole show without a mic because sound system died in LA. Joy of Sex are a new three-piece from Cardiff, two boys and a girl, with a drum machine, stand-up drums and three-way vocals. They agree on several things. Short songs, rhythm, repetition, noise. Combining menacing cut-up rhythms with triple-barrelled vocal interplay that switches from sinister to playful; a unique concoction that's reminiscent of the taut art-punk dynamics of Wire. They hint at the electro post punk of PiL and share a kinship with fellow Cardiffian's The Victorian English Gentlemen's Club. It's form meeting function. Newness, not novelty. Equality. Самый буземный фильм и самая угарная музыка до утра. 21.00 – Просмотр культого американского фильма «Liquid Sky» (Жидкое небо) Liquid Sky — культовый американский авангардный фильм, впитавший в себя всю клубную эстетику начала 80-х, музыку в жанре new wave (или, может, то был synth-pop, а может, пост-панк?), экспрессионизм, переходящий в поп-арт, а оттуда в застарелый брайтонбичевский соц-арт, тотальную распущенность нравов, вуайеризм, героиновую зависимость, захлестнувшую подвалы, студии и пентхаусы Нью-Йорка, извращения модельного бизнеса... и космических пришельцев, а также уфологов — неотъемлимый атрибут угарных 70-80-х годов. В результате перегонки этих компонентов получился натуральный, дистиллированный трэш, насладиться которым смогут все пришедшие в этот вечер. Сюжетные линии фильма сходяться на фригидной девушке-модели, приехавшая в Нью-Йорк из провинции и превратившейся в шлюху, которая становится ориентиром для пришельцев, питающихся веществом, выделяемым соответствующими рецепторами человеческого мозга при оргазме. Много наркотиков, фешна, музыки, брутального секса и НЛО. Жидкое небо один из самых яркий и эпотажных фильмов 80-х. 22.30 и до утра — TAMARA total pizdets dj/vj set (Post-punk, No wawe, Garage, Dance punk, Industrial, Afro beat, Madchester, Breakcore, Psyho, etc), и все это под созданный в режиме «random online» видио арт. ррр!! 4:33 pm [nemesis_to_go]	London: Frank up the Hope This just in from the Nemesis Information Relay Station... Frank the Baptist has a London gig coming up very soon, on Friday June 27. It's a solo show, under his solo name, Telegram Frank - just him, and his Rickenbacker 330. If you caught his collaboration with Lucas Lanthier of Cinema Strange, the Dirty Weather Project, in Leipzig recently you'll possibly have a hint of what the show will be like. He'll be performing at the Hope & Anchor, Upper Street, Islington. Tube: Highbury & Islington, or Angel if you don't mind a walk. Frank has an early set - I'm told he's on stage at 8.30pm - so you can catch the gig and then go on to your previously scheduled Friday Nite Clubbing Experience (or go home for tea, as the fancy takes you).
