Unlike many other art communites which focus on art, admission to Artist_Gallery isn’t granted to everyone. Although we do have a jury process, voting is LIMITED ONLY TO THE MODERATORS. This is only to weed out those we feel arent for this community. This is more than just a place to display your art it is a COMMUNITY. We want our members to play an active role. Discussion is encouraged. However, we do encourage tips, advice, and support. We have a rule that ONLY CONSTRUCTIVE criticism will be accepted here. If you do not enjoy a piece of art let us know why. If we feel comments from any of the members are obscene or immature, we will ban you. SO…CAN I JOIN? Artist_Gallery is composed of artists. You may not have the most expensive material or you may not be the next Picasso, however all experimentation and creativity is welcome. We want this to be a helpful community where you can post artwork and expect replies. We are looking for those who want to excel/develope in art and not just hear praise. It is expected that members will comment ATLEAST once a month. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from our community. We wish that everyone would comment frequently because feedback is an important aspect of art. WELL, HOW DO I JOIN? We ask that you please post a minimum of 3 pieces of art that you have created. -Art is to each his own. When submitting work we will not be judging your acceptance on whether we like it or not, but on the elements of design and ESPECIALLY mature compositions. -Please use a LJ-cut. maybe a small "tease" picture, but nothing more. -One may post sketches and unfinnished pieces, but it is to be understood that but we are looking mainly looking for ability. -Works submitted can be in any media. However, please keep fine art in mind. - This community welcomes photography, but please keep in mind that we want quality photos, which involve composition; the kind you would submit to a gallery. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the moderators of Artist_Gallery. FINALLY, Upon approval we ask that you polease post an introduction to the group which identifies you.
