I just uploaded a couple of artist trading cards that I'm swapping over on illustratedatcs.com. Making little 2.5" by 3.5" cards & swapping them online is one of my favorite hobbies. (Because I'm trading these, they aren't for sale, but other work is here.)

I am SO sorry, guys. There are 2 people (I think only 2!) on here to whom I've long owed ATCs... and things have been so crazy that not only did I not get them sent out, I've lost the info on who you are. *hides under rug*
If I owe you an ATC, first of all, please forgive me =( Second, please send me a message and remind me of your address and what I'm sending you. I will take care of it ASAP, cross my heart! And again, I really apologize.

Just wanted to give props to
fear_n_loathing! I received your card today and I love it. The photographs on your DevArt page just don't show off the textures and swirly colours as much as real life. I hope you received my part by now :-)

Hello! I'm a newbie here at this community and I have a question to ask all of you wonderful fellow ATC'rs out there.
I've been put in charge of starting a local Artist Trading Card Group here in my hometown. I'm very excited about it, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for our group? I'm going to be going over the basics (card sizes, trading rules, etc), but the meetings will be monthly, so I can't exactly do that over and over. I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this question before, so I apologize if you all have heard this before.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! :)

Hi guys, I just wanted to share a recent swap. I haven't done one in a long time and am up for more. My last swap in November was really disappointing - I agreed to a blind swap and got a card that was made from scrapbook paper and a Tinkerbell sticker :S Even if one can't draw, I still like original art!
Edit: I did not mean that I don't like collages. I do like them and do have them in my collection. I do have a problem with someone trimming down paper and slapping a sticker on it, which isn't very original at all.
( Swap under cut )

Hello! My name is Jaqueline, Jack for short, and I'm an ATC newbie. I've actually been interested in them for a couple years now, but only recently did I decide to buckle down and start. I'm usually pretty obsessive compulsive and uptight about my artwork, so I really think these could help me loosen up a bit.
That said, I finished my first card last night.
( daruma )
It's still available for trade if anyone's interested.. I'd love to start a collection.
Thanks!

I learned about artist trading cards only a few months ago. It's still a new thing for me, but I love it. I've made a few ATCs so far. it's a bit of a challenge to do something in dimensions much smaller than I am used to, but it's still fun. I love the idea of trading art for art as well :D.
Here are the cards I have done so far, all are still available for trade:

Art or Crime?
Here is my latest ACEO, my comment on a growing trend in society... is graffiti "art" or "crime"?

Graffiti artists every where tag walls, spray subways, and draw all over their blackbooks. I realize that your corner grocer probably doesn't want to come to work one morning to see his beautiful white wall covered in graffiti, and a lot of young people DO it simply because of rebellion, but it is not fair to lump all graffiti into that one category.
If you look at it closely, you'll see line and form used very carefully. You'll see colors blended and stark against one another. You will begin to depict style, and tell one artist from the other. I do not use the term artist sparingly. I know that these people take pride in their hard work, just like a sculptor or scenic painter would.
Take the popularity of Basquiat, for example. His work was against the very society that adopted him.
There is room for graffiti, it is not all garbage and done to "mess things up". Seriously, the next time you're out and about, take a good look at the side of that building or decrepit fence... you're partaking in an art gallery experience without paying the admittance fee.
Appreciate art for all it's worth, for remember, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I just made a bunch of new ATCs/ACEOs, tiny little pieces of art that are absolutely awesome, portable, easily framed, and fit comfortably into trading card sleeves.

I also rocked some ( hand-illustrated Valentine's Day notecards )

I hope it's appropriate to post here, but after all it's an ATC community so someone may want to know about it :)
A few years ago I put up this article about ATCs, which apparently is still a very popular resource for beginners in that genre of mail art.
Today I finally revised it and made it into a small publication which I think (not surprisingly) is more convenient than an on-screen guide, but also makes a great little gift to for a creative child or someone getting into mail art:

Enjoy!

I am currently trying to get my art in as many countries as is possible.
Whilst I have "conquered" most of North America, Canada, Australia and Western Europe, I am lacking art in many of the Asian countries, all of the African except South and Madagascar, most of South America and part of Central America, as well as Eastern Europe and the Pacific islands. I am also interested in HAwaii as I shall be visiting there in April.
Therefore, I am seeking people who want my art and live in more obscure countries. If you live in one of the above, or merely wish to try your luck (I'm missing some of the United States and the provinces of Canada) and want free art, reply to this post with your username and general location.
If it turns out that you're from one of the countries I haven't "invaded" yet, I shall let you know and you can send me an email with your postal address and particular ATC interests.
For examples of my ATCs, check out my deviantart gallery - http://lemurkat.deviantart.com I am mostly a real media/hand drawn artist, and specialise in cute animals and quirky characters.
Because I shall be creating cards specially, do not expect something in the mail quickly! But I will endeavour to have them all done within 6-8 weeks.
Also, if anyone is curious, I live in New Zealand.

my scanner totally killed alllll the colors on this... so I had to take a pic to get more accuracy, which is why the image quality is sooo very crappy

This one is called "Searching for You"... it is ink illustration with water color.
