About
This is essentially a place for anyone to post any sort of artistic pieces whether it be photography, poetry, prose, traditional media etc. No need to introduce yourself, though it might be polite to do so.

Rules:
1. Respect others and their artwork. Anyone being rude/petty/beligerent will be blocked and thrown out of the community.

2. Images with what might be considered 'mature' themes and long pieces of prose should be put behind an lj-cut for the sake of decency. (We can argue on the 'mature' matter if you like but keep in mind the rules of decent debate.)

3. No offtopic posts. That means anything not having to do with art or writing and especially no rating community promotions. That's a quick way to get yourself banned.

4.General discussions on artwork and writing is perfectly fine. (That is if you wish to discuss particular artists or writers, go right ahead. Just remember to keep the debates clean and respectful.)

A note about the name of the community: I titled this community 'artisintheblood' as a reference to what I would call the 'natural artist'. Someone who is so artistic that their very blood courses with ideas and inspirations for it. In other words, someone who actually creates art for themselves, to hone a skill, or to explore a message which hold very strongly for them. This is not a place to simply post pictures of yourself in a vain attempt to gain attention from random livejournal users. There are plenty of other communities for that.

We're all in it for the art of it.

Other than that, enjoy the show.
