Thank you to everyone that participated in the 4th Ever ART FIGHT!
Every battle was well fought. Some rounds were so close we thought random winners would have to be drawn! You all deserve a round of applause.
IMPORTANT NEWS
This post is to announce that the 4th Ever ART FIGHT! was to be the last one held here on LiveJournal. (A change of plans from the last news post.) Development of the official site will now be our main focus!
What will the site offer that LJ doesn't?

| "Superheroes" Tournament Announcement |

ANNOUNCEMENT
The Superheroes Tournament is still short two fighters!
Regardless of this fact, the tournament will be starting TOMORROW!

After this tournament, there will be no more Art Fights held on LiveJournal. The Art Fight team will be focusing on launching the official site so more people can get involved.

Many of the contestants that signed up for the Superheroes tournament were not able to or choose not to submit a fighter.

I am proud to announce the 4thever ART FIGHT! tournament!
The theme of this tournament is: SUPERHEROES.
If you would like to be a part of this tournament, here is how to apply:
Email your interest in participating to:
Please provide a link to your personal gallery, or attach a couple of examples of your work.
Once approved, you will receive an email back confirming your participation and describing how to submit your fighter. |
There are 16 spots available. Once all 16 spots are filled, the tournament will begin!
Things to remember:
Tournaments are ARTIST ANONYMOUS.
Do not post the identity of yourself or other artists in a tournament, in the community or anywhere else, until the tournament is over (at which time, all artists will be reveled).
This is to keep it fun and unbiased. You are encouraged to tell your fans you are in the tournament, but do not reveal which fighter is yours (they should know anyways, right?).

What's happening with ART FIGHT!?
Ladies and gents, I am here to report to you that the official ART FIGHT! website is well under way! I have no estimated launch date yet, but I want you to rest assured that it will be well worth the wait (for artists and voters alike).
In the meantime, I plan on running TWO more tournaments here on Livejournal, which means I need 32 more fighters ready for a challenge!
I'm looking for some killer artists that are willing to put up a fight to be a part of the original 6 champions to be featured on the new site. Think you got game?
I will be posting the new tournament theme this week, but if you're interested already, EMAIL ME!
(Wimps need not apply.)

I want to thank everyone who has participated in these first three ART FIGHT! tournaments, artists and voters alike!
What's the hold up on the next tournament you may be wondering? Well, I am currently in the beginning stages of build a proper ART FIGHT! website!
This is an important time for me to get your feedback.
Please let me know your thoughts! Do you like the way the tournaments are run? Is there anything you would change, add, take away? How does it feel being an artist involved? A voter?

To keep the momentum of the tournament up, we will be eliminating the week break in between each round for artists to submit a new drawing of their fighter. Each artist will now only submit one drawing of their fighter to be used for the entire tournament. Thank you. |

(This is NOT a quality check! Please don’t be afraid to show off. This step is simply to ensure that you have the capabilities to enter a drawing.)
