    Tomorrow...
Tomorrow I'm actually gonna talk to people about what they want. This is 1) ridiculously proactive and out of character for me and 2) probably all going to end in tears. Metaphorically speaking.

Anyway, I spent 7 hours (in a row!) working on Cupid today. Good, shiny money soon. Yeah, that should cheer me up. I'm a good capitalist.

    You know what is weird?
Let's say you have a huge load of stuff that you need to take to Goodwill, or your local charity.

And you stop by a garage sale. And you decide to 'donate' items to the garage sale. And the people running the sale are confused long enough for you to make a quick get-away in your car.

...can you even get a ticket for that? For what, littering? "Depositing items of dubious value among other items of dubious value?" And how would they prove what was 'yours' to begin with?

I'm just curious. This is all hypothetical, you understand.

    Death in the kitchen
Today my dear sweet husband was lazy.  Instead of taking two seconds to move my indoor grill to a safe place, he bumped it and sent it crashing to the ground.  It is now broken beyond repair!

While I am very sad to see it go, this means that I get to buy the newer one with 5 removable plates!  That bad boy will never leave the counter! (steak, paninis, and waffles, oh my!)  The only problem with this is that we will not have the money for it for a couple of months!  Broiled chicken! Yuck!!

    Help!

I'm small and demure and I need a room to live in.

    must be in SF.

must be less than or equal to 650 a month.

must be okay living with dead things like vintage furs and teeth and a mummified bat-in-a-jar.

This is her if you have or know of something available.

    History's Lost and Found
Long ago when I was in my latter teens I came accross a block of balsa wood. i was really into Bauhaus back then so I decided to make a piece of fan art out of it. I carved it into the shape of the familiar 'Bauhaus face' that the band put on the cover of their '1979-1983' albums. It's also the same design that the Bauhaus school uses as a logo sometimes. My carving was a pretty good likeness, it has four sides, alternating from black to white. Not the most complicated piece I've ever done, but it's still pretty neat. I'm guessing that it's about eighteen or nineteen years old by now.
I was in Peter's possession for a while, then it ended up at Eric's. The last time I saw it was at Alanja's house in one of the upstairs bedrooms a few years ago.
So has anyone seen it lately? Is it happy? Comfortable? Three square meals a day? etc...

    ACCOMPLISHMENT
I can't really believe I just did this. Several days and many, many, many agonizing lessons learned (and I haven't cleaned it up yet so it looks uneven and there are still threads hanging off of it but I don't care it's done I lived through it here is proof). I sure as hell hope Kingdom Hearts fans enjoy it. DO YOU RECOGNIZE THIS?!?!?! 1,850 tiny fucking maddening Delica beads which the camera butchers and makes look like it's all pretty much the same color dammit.

And so you're thinking, "wow what a waste of time". Only until you get the right light source. And then it's fucking awesome. Naturally I can't get a good picture of exactly why I chose those colors but I can assure you it's like the fucking Electric Light Parade sparkly sparkly yay.

There aren't any better pictures right now since it's... not finished. I'm debating what I'm turning it into, really. A cuff still seems to be the best idea. It's actually fantastically strong so there's no reason to line it with anything, but I'll continue to ponder that part.

Now I am going to finish up my necklace commission and then I'm going back to dragons for a while because they hurt less and are more rewarding and don't taunt me.

I slept in my new place last night. Norman thought that we should not only get my bed assembled but also haul the mattress over last night at 9:00. I had a hard time falling asleep, I miss my kitties, and I'm up way too early for someone who expended as much energy as I did yesterday. It was somewhat of a "hurry up and go," since I had to literally toss the contents of my medicine cabinet and shower rack into a box and it took me five minutes of digging to find everything I needed to get ready for bed last night. But I guess it's okay. Unfortunately, I did NOT remember to bring ibuprofen.

Hopefully coffee and a shower will help. There is still furniture to be moved, and a few odds and ends.  I won't be rushed this time, goddammit. This has been an organized move and I want to keep it that way.  Otherwise, I'll be living in chaos.

At least I'm finally living near some people who really want me around.

And I'm back from the mountains!
Yay, I was at my mom's all week, cleaning bathrooms, digging up yards, chasing/cuddling chick(en)s, picking blackberries, and splashing in the creek with Kitty. It was loads of fun, and I'm glad I found the time to go.

I'm catching up on some of the Rubifruit stuff that happened while I was gone, and darn, if the front page hasn't become a who's who of women in comics! I am so happy!

    Holy mother of pink unicorns
Very innocently, while tank-hunting, I think I may have uncovered the coolest soap dish evar

That thing is cute enough to make you puke rainbows and paint walls with it. The penguin and ice blocks are mounted on springs! SPRINGS!

Still tank-less, but I saw a very promising set at Wal-Mart today. I'll look at my favorite pet shop tomorrow to see if I can get better, but I doubt it. I hate how most 5 gallons are made on height rather than lenght. I don't think fishes cares that the tank goes to the effing ceiling if they can't swim on lenghts!

Much to my surprise, teh Grumps actually came in one pet shop with me and asked what I wanted to get for the tank.......eh. He never cease to amaze me, and that's what makes him pretty amazing :-P. Okay ignores this, I just got a bellyful of his spaghetti sauce and it makes me mushy.

And now for something completely different, I loled at this:

    Oh geez...
So, if you can't tell, I've kinda become obsessed with The Dark Knight.

I'll probably get a review of some sort up soon, I just want to see it a second time before I do so.

    Also...I'm home. Yay?

I'm also working on getting stuff made to put in my etsy shop within the next week or so. Woo!

    Unpopular Opinion
Opening lines aren't that important. Lots of people will give a book a try, even if the opening isn't gripping.

It's the closing line that has to be a kicker.

That's what makes people read a book over and over again. That's what makes people go find more books by the same author. That's what they're thinking of when they're trying to tell you why you should read it.

Go ahead, ask me for any book I've read, which line I remember best. I guarantee you it'll either be "neither" or "[something close to the end]".
