According to imdb.com, the release date for The Third Mother/Mother of Tears (I've seen it called bother in English) is sometime in February. Does anyone know exactly when? Also, is it going to be released in theatres or just on dvd?
This is spoiler free minus touching on some basic points;
For me, it just didn't pack the same visual and suspenseful punch of it's predecessors. I honestly feel like post 80's Argento just seems to be, lost. Long gone are the beautiful images and dream-like atmospheres,seemingly replaced by predictability and well...poor CGI. In my opinion if Dario would just stop trying to be forward and current in his productions and just peel back to the raw,bare tactics he used before then I think a lot of his recent movies could have been successes,including this one. The story for me, was just incomprehensible and honestly even the "gore" was irrelevant and IMO,conventional. To it's credit it does hold true as a "sequel" to Suspiria and Inferno, by referencing both, but if you are hoping to witness or learn anything more than what you already know...you won't, they are flyby references. We all know Dario has a hard time ending a film, but this ending...it seemed to be him laughing at the fact he doesn't know how to end one. It was just over-all a mess, for this fan. Major points for the score though,it was amazing, as always.
I just listed my copy of Broken Mirrors/Broken Minds: The Dark Dreams of Dario Argento on eBay and I thought some of you might be interested. Click here to check it out!

“i’ve been in Hong Kong for a while and i didn’t bring my computer with me. I am now writing you from the “business center” of my hotel. God, you’re always ahead of everyone, yes I am going to be in my dad’s new movie (the script is brilliant!) and I am happy to tell you before anyone else that my mother is playing a role in it as well! How exciting! The family reunited. My heart is so mushy. And no, Sienna Miller ain’t gonna be in it.”
This is truly incredible news. Daria Nicolodi has been involved with the two previous films in the Three Mothers series (she was a co-writer on Suspiria, and had a supporting role in and was an uncredited co-writer on Inferno), so it is only fitting that she should have a place in the cast of Mother of Tears.
Argento's daughter Asia has agreed to be in his upcoming film, The Third Mother, the third part of a series that began with Suspiria (1977) and continued with Inferno (1980). Asia will not portray The Mother of Tears; she will star in the lead role of "Sarah Mandy". Production won't begin until November or sometime after.
"Pelts, directed by Dario Argento, teleplay by Matt Venne, is an erotic tale about stolen raccoon pelts that violently turn against those that covet them in this Giallo-style adaptation of F. Paul Wilson's short story. Meatloaf and John Saxon star." http://www.sho.com/site/announcements/061406moh.do
Meatloaf. And. John Saxon. In a Dario Argento film.
Though Valli starred in famous films such as The Third Man, she is better recognized for her European horror film outings, such as Eyes Without a Face, Suspiria, and Inferno. She also starred in such trash favorites as The Antichrist and Killer Nun.
