Arctic Monkeys' drummer Matt Helders is not opening his own pub, contrary to reports last month.

The Daily Mirror reported that Helders had bought The Bowery pub in Sheffield with ex-Arctic Monkey Andy Nicholson, but the drummer and DJ has actually only opened a clothes shop above a pub that his mates have bought.

However, speaking to Thequietus.com, Helders did reveal he has aspirations of being a publican one day, declaring that his boozer will be called The Cautious Horse.

"I don't know where [it'd be] as in location, but I'd want it to be underground, so it didn't look like a pub really," he speculated. "It'd just be a door with The Cautious Horse and you'd go downstairs, you'd probably have to know about it I'd say."

Helders also offered advice to underage drinkers wanting to gain entry to the hypothetical pub, suggesting they invest in "fake moustaches".

"When I was 16 and getting turned away it was the worst thing ever, especially if your mates get in," he noted, adding his future establishment would look fondly on disguises. "I'd be welcoming fake moustaches though. If that happened, I'd just be like 'oh, I can't say no, you've made an effort'."

When he was 14 he broke his arm in my PE lesson. He was in hospital for a week or so, and we had a whip-round and bought him a voucher for a CD, so there must have been some interest in music developing. They were ordinary, lovely lads who were a joy to teach. Everyone is very proud, and I get put on the guest list for gigs. Their fame was unexpected. They were never show-offs - when we had school talent contests, they didn't get involved.

The ARCTIC MONKEY let his stunning-but-crap-presenter (OUCH!) girfriend ALEXA CHUNG waltz on in front while he dawdled in the background. The T4 presenter was curious to see what PEACHES GELDOF’s ex FARIS ROTTER had in store at his new club night, Marriage.

I know. The same old rubbish and an ale costs £8 a bottle.

Arctic Monkeys to release live DVD this year, will be shown in the cinemas first.

Arctic Monkeys are set to release a live DVD, 'Arctic Monkeys At The Apollo', on November 3.

The DVD was filmed at the Sheffield band's gig at the Manchester Apollo on December 17 last year, the last date of their world tour.

It is directed by 'The Mighty Boosh' and 'The IT Crowd' actor Richard Ayoade, who has also directed music videos for Vampire Weekend.

The film will be screened in various Vue and independent cinemas across the UK on October 14 - see Arcticmonkeys.com for cinema listings and ticket details.

The Last Shadow Puppets performed live at the 2008 Mercury Prize ceremony in London. Alex Turner was later spotted backstage drunkenly singing the first verse of Elbow's track 'Grounds For Divorce' in tribute to the Bury band, who won the award for their album 'The Seldom Seen Kid'

It's kind of weird that I always expect pictures like this when Al is at an event. It has become a daily routine.
Oh well, at least the paparazzi feeds us with some extra pictures of our sexy lads.

For those who couldn't see it, the video of the announcement of the winner (band called Elbow; don't ask me, never listened to their music).
