The Canadian Archivist Blog - The National Archives Experience: Digital Vaults nominated for People's Voice Webby

rgscarterApr. 22nd, 2008 09:11 am The National Archives Experience: Digital Vaults nominated for People's Voice Webby

The The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration's National Archives Experience's fancy interactive website Digital Vaults has been nominated for a People's Voice Webby (celebrating the best on the web - the Oscars of the Internet, if you will) in the Society: Cultural Institutions category.

Anyone can vote (ballots open until May 1st with the awards being announced May 6th) but you need to register. Currently the NAE is third behind the Smithsonian and something called Sorry Out of Gas. As the NAE's catchphrase says "Democracy Starts Here" so let's get out the crucial archival vote.  Click here to register and vote.

(a little investigation [ie clicking on the link] has shown me that Sorry Out of Gas is a web exhibit put on by the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal about architectural innovations developed in response to the 1973 oil crisis. This is certainly also worthy of your vote.)
