child safety in housings
are you familiar with any studies done by architects about child safety in housing areas?
im looking for information for my housing design project and i keep coming up with interior solutions. im looking for something on a macro scale, like housing area designs. on where to place your playground and schools, how do you increase social surveillance to assist in safety..that kind of thing..

Seconded. And Jane Jacobs is a must (I just read it not long ago). It's organized very clearly for you to find the issues you're looking for, if you're unable to read the whole thing (although you should).
