arch_icons! This is a community for those of us who have far too much love of all that is archaeological, and express this love via creations of 100 x 100 pixel goodness.
This is a place where you can let your geekyness run free! Is Ancient Mesopotamia your thing? Bronze Age weapons? WHATEVER!
We also welcome anything from the realms of Cultural & Biological Anthropology, and Linguistics. Let’s have a four-field approach here. Bring me your Sanskrit, your monkeys and bones!
Let people know where your heart truly lies, and let your imaginations and nerdy collection of ancient history free.
Rules:
~Try and keep it anthropological, please.
~We love and respect all the fields. If you don't, that's ok; just don't belittle the choices of others.
~Icons, Friends Only banners, and headers welcome.
~When taking icons, etc. please CREDIT the maker. Commenting that you are taking icons is a good idea.
~SAVE ALL ICONS TO YOUR OWN SERVER. Bandwidth stealing is evil. All hotlinkers will be fed to Ammut.
~Posters should be open to constructive criticism about theories and art. Constructive Criticism does NOT mean "OMG YOU SUCK!" or "You are stupid the think that crap!" Let’s all be nice little anthropologists.
~Crack theories ARE ALLOWED, but be aware that they are only loved for their crack-ness, and not for being right.
~We love new anthropological LJ communities, but we'd appreciate it if you didn't spam the community. If you'd like to promote a new community/journal, email the maintainers, and we'll decide if it's ok to promote it here.
