It might come as a shock, but...ZOMG ARCANA SOAPS LOVE WAS ONCE MODERATED ZOMG! With _miggins_ now gone I've been left holding the fort and my fort holding skillzorz aren't as awesome as they once were. After recently coming back from a self-imposed Livejournal exile (OH, LENT AND THE THINGS WE DO FOR SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTMENT AND PURTIY! *winks*) I've tried in MANY DIFFERENT WAYS to rearrange my NEW SCHEDULE to fit the OLD, PRE-LENT SCHEDULE but, no matter how many times I turn the puzzle, I can't get all of the pieces to fit. (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, LIVEJOURNAL!)

As much as I hate letting projects go, I feel my moderating presence isn't doing Julia or this community any justice (in other words, what online time I do assign myself is usually spent keeping perfumedwaters in order). So I've decided to step down from the position and hand over the community 100% to Missus Julia. (She'll probably need an experienced LJer who understands the technical and designing side of GOOD OLE EL-JAY to help her out, though.) I've already reverted all control over to Miss J so all I have to do, now, is post this entry, get out of the way and let y'all get on with it.

PERFUME OILS

Philtre #1: Amity (Limited Edition):  Based on a long-forgotten love potion which aided seduction with an abundance of harmony and joy. Three jasmines, pink grapefruit, rainwater, white musk, French cognac, pink pepper, a hint of strawberry, and a drop of patchouli.

Philtre #2: Adoration (Limited Edition):  An aphrodisiac believed to draw one's beloved to the greatest heights of receptivity and indulgence. Three vanillas, sweet cream, banana custard, white pepper, exotic amber, pearl musk, black pepper, and cardamom.

Philtre #3: Fetish (Limited Edition):  Rumored to be disturbingly effective, this philtre may create obsessions and fixations beyond all reason. Three musks, Haitian vetiver, blackseed oil, nutmeg, molasses extract, grapefruit, apricot, peach, and darkest vanilla.

Romani Princess Perfume Oil (Limited Edition):  Passionate, seductive and regal, with an unsettling mastery over strange divinations. Dark garnet grapes, burnt sugar, fir needle oil, iron-distilled patchouli, river water, and our hand-extracted dragon's blood.


SOAPS

The Bakehouse Soap (Limited Edition):  A most delicious soap. Gourmand notes of toasted almond, sugared coconut, bittersweet chocolate, and a warm pastry accord waft over a rich base of benzoin resin. Nereid Soap (Limited Edition):  A blend believed to be favored by the 50 kind, beautiful daughters of the sea god Nereus: white bark raspberry, silvery rain, piquant cranberry, fizzing ocean foam, and a sugary whorl of sea salt caramel. Enriched with sweet almond oil, organic agave nectar, caramel extract, and Tussah noil peace silk.

Romani Princess Soap (Limited Edition):  Passionate, seductive and regal, with an unsettling mastery over strange divinations. Dark garnet grapes, burnt sugar, fir needle oil, iron-distilled patchouli, river water, dragon's blood extract, Fair Trade shea butter, coconut milk, and a swirl of amaranthine poppy seeds.


As with every year, Arcana's sugar scrub production is suspended until autumn, so please get them from our retailers while they still have some in stock. And please store them in a coolish place if you plan to keep them over the summer.

This is my first post here, thanks to someone mentioning Solstice Sugar on another forum.  I know this is a limited edition, but does anyone have a bottle or a decant they'd be interested in getting rid of?   (I'm also curious about Queen Crossbones and Devilish, while I'm posting...)

I'm glad to paypal or swap, and feedback can be found on bpal.org under Kelthulu.  Many,  many thanks if anyone can help me, and either way, I'm excited to be enabled with another addiction.  (My checking account, however, isn't so happy... ;))

I have seen here and there questions posted about special orders and things like that. I'm just wondering, is it something that can be done with different scents (I believe the one I saw earlier was Spitfire, if I'm not mistaken) that have been discontinued? I'm dying to get my hands on more Avalon - my small stockpile is running dreadfully low, and I've taken to "cutting" the perfume oil with an unscented carrier oil just to extend the life span by a little; picture a deranged druggie, only substitute a tiny brown perfume bottle and an eye dropper...it's pathetic. :-)
Anyway, I'd be grateful for any information!

ETA: My bad, forgot to ask about Esmerelda Appleby's Elixir, too. Is that still in production, or has it been discontinued as well? I haven't been able to find it at the usual places, so I'm getting concerned. It's one of the few products I've tried that didn't make my rosacea very VERY angry. Not sure I can live without the magic green stuff. :)

I have a question- does anyone have a spreadsheet that is up to date, or a list even, of all the Arcana perfume blends? I am a bit confused as to which ones are LE and which ones are permanent, because various retail sites list certain blends as LE while others list the same blends are permanent. Sooo... anyone know which are which? I'd greatly appreciate it.
