| About: | {Story} In an age of cynicism, such things as the occult and mysticism are rarely taken seriously or believed; still, however, the myths, practices, and tales live on. The Tarot deck is no exception - but where does its function as a modern-day pop culture amusement end and where does the true power of the Tarot begin? Lately, rumours fly about concerning an old, though dormant, curse involving the ancient Tarot deck. According to older legends, each card within the Major Arcana contains a powerful spirit. Some claim the spirits guide the lives of everyone, others claim that the spirits of each card preside over the entire world. Underneath this veneer lies a secret lost in time - the curse. A select few people possess one of the twenty-two spirits deep within, residing within unknown to their vessels... spirits whose job is to kill. Only one person, however, can bring forth these spirits and command them to do his or her bidding - a person known as the Reader ... The stars are aligned, and the timing is right. The question remains, though - whose hands are tainted with blood? {Rules and FAQ} Under Construction Rules 1.) We encourage friendly interaction with other players. No flame wars, bad feelings, or drama should be here if it concerns the players and NOT the characters. Be respectful of the other members - it makes for a much smoother, more enjoyable time here. 2.) Absolutely NO godmodding. The other characters are the other players' responsibility, not your own. Do not try to control someone else's character, especially without his or her express consent. 3.) Please be active. In joining this roleplay, we expect you to be active, especially in order to promote character interaction (which is the very soul of a roleplay). The minimum requirement for posting should be at least once every week. If, for some reason, you cannnot be this active for a period of time due to real life situations or problems, please post a note in the main comm to this effect. If you are inactive for more than two weeks, we will think you have dropped out, and your character will be up for grabs once more. 4.) Only THREE characters per player are permitted. When applying, please indicate if this is your first/second/third character for which you've applied within the subject line. This is not only to reassure us that you're keeping up with your character limit, but it also indicates as to whether or not you've read the rules. 5.) No Mary Sues/Gary Stus please. Not everyone is perfect, and neither are your characters expected to be. If you do not know whether or not your character qualifies as this, examine him or her - if he or she never seems to have a problem in his or her life, if he or she seems almost too powerful/has no weaknesses, or if he or she can easily solve any problem, then the chances of him or her being too perfect are VERY high. 6.) Sexual situations are * Read all the rules? Good - APPLY HERE. FAQ 1.) Question: What is the setting of this roleplay? Answer: This roleplay will mainly take place in New York City. 2.) Question: Where do I post? Answer: Once you have created your character journal, please post all third character interactions/logs/threads in your character journal AND link to the entry in the main community. 3.) Question: In what format should I type? Answer: Third person past tense, please. 4.) Question: Which character may I apply for? Answer: Please refer to the list of taken characters to see which character you can apply for (the PBs for each character are also beside the usernames). 5.) Question: May I reserve a character? What exactly does reserving a character do? Answer: Yes. Reservations on characters are to be requested here. The character in question will be held for a week after the date of request, during which time no other person may apply for the character.
