do you lack any kind of rational behaviour when in the presence of spiders? to a degree that it becomes a physical issue.. more than you would like? do others have difficulties understanding the difference between fear of, and a phobia? does size really matter?
perhaps you have a different perspective of our "eight legged friends". are you fascinated with them? can you be at ease and comfortable sharing a space with these things? what do you think, if you do, makes many of us so afraid of them? views? please post..
welcome to the arachnophobia community. i have created this community for a number of reasons. very recently my personal situation with this phobia has grown to a position where i am considering help. as i type, my legs are up on my chair, my knees under my chin. because although it's been sprayed, it's still in here, somewhere..
i searched, and could not locate a community specifically dealing with this-- to my surprise! lastly i want to create a support group. for myself and others to learn of personal triumphs, stories, and other news articles that may be shared. and for many that do not understand, evidence that this is real; not a source of amusement.
on that note please read this: this is my first and probably only community. i am not a rulesmith. i welcome free speech. however. due to the sensitivity and differing levels this phobia consumes, consideration is necessary at all times. please understand i must draw lines between free speech, and ridicule/lack of tact. debate, and simple misinterpretation. if you feel the need to post images of that one big puppy you found in your room; lj-cut the image. any images posted without this feature will either be cut by myself, or deleted.
