Me and karate0kat  recently took over the modly duties of bsgstillness  and the first challenge is now under way here. The theme is celebration and you can even choose your own images if you like. If you are even the tiniest fan of Battlestar Galactica, please consider making an icon or two for the challenge. It would make us newbie mods very happy :)

The aim of itvshow is to make three icons [minimum] of each episode of the chosen [claimed] TV show. I decided to go all nostalgic and make icons of Sex and the City.

First batch of icons is here. They feature the model Sasha Pivovarova and are made for songamonth. Icons feature lyrics from song Your Soul by Ivri Lider.

I have applied and been accepted as a banner maker for three different icontests: intl_challenge that focuses on cities around the world, kc_stills which is all about kelly clarkson and model20in20 a new 20 in 20 community centering around models.

I already got my first batch of banners to make and I'm really excited. I love making banners <3

Now that I'm on this banner making mood, I'm also planning on making some Friends Only banners. I've never made those before either, but I think I will love that as well. Bigger graphics just seem to be so much easier for me. I have yet to discover all the secrets of making icon-sized art.

If you own an icontest related to models, fashion, stock photos or certain celebs, tv shows or movies (see my profile for fandom lists) and are in need of a banner maker, feel free to contact me. I might say yes for a couple of more if I'm into the subject :)

I joined this fun icon challenge - iconaday, where you make 100 icons by making one at a time. I chose to do Veronica Mars icons, since I have always wanted to do Veronica graphics and never really got around doing them.

I'm setting myself a challenge. I know that there are icon communities out there where you can claim a subject and then make 100 icons, but since my head is playing up with me and I don't trust myself completely to work well with deadlines, I'm going to just set up a challenge for myself. If I let myself down by not finishing, I at least won't be letting anyone else down in the process.

I have browsed some of these icon challenges and am setting myself the following rules:

- I have 4 months to complete my 100 icons. Ideally.

- I'll make 20 artist's choice icons, 20 category 1. icons, 20 category 2. icones and 40 themed icons (idea from the 20in20 communities out there)

- Categories in this particular challenge are 1. Candid Pictures & 2. Light Textures (two things I find challenging)

- The 40 themes are: 1. repetition, 2. colorless, 3. carneval, 4. torn, 5. symbol, 6. rainbow, 7. no, 8. yes, 9. lips, 10. candy, 11. shoes, 12. skin, 13. purple, 14. oops! 15. sparkle, 16. action, 17. delicate, 18. feminine, 19. masculine, 20. sign, 21. hat, 22. drink, 23. athletic, 24. polaroid, 25. freeze frame, 26. portrait, 27. surreal, 28. hello my name is... , 29. expression, 30. line, 31. ordinary, 32. focus, 33. retro, 34. silver, 35. gold, 36. symmetry, 37. winner, 38. loser, 39. spirit, 40. curves

- In addition to these my chosen topic is: ACTRESSES and each icon must feature a different actress.

This should cheer me up.
