Been reading Temeraire, but I left it in Richmond. ;_; I tend to draw fat dragons.

I been playing too much Soul Calibur 4. Here's a sketch of the outfit my self-portrait character ended up wearing, glasses and all. It's...pretty similar to outfits I've worn before, that's for sure.

Jonathan Strange, of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. It was fast, hence the unerased lines and his non-exciting outfit.

4/6 of the Batman Gotham Knights segments were pretty entertaining, and I will admit that it's somewhat funny to hear Kevin Conroy's voice coming out of BISHONEN SPARKLY KAWAII BWUCE WAYNE.

So, I did a quickie doodle.

I'm probably way too ambitious with my first Sculpey project idea, but I'd like to do figures. So, one of the easiest characters of mine I can think of would be the Nurse.

HAY guys I got this commission from my church in Harrisonburg and it eats all my sketching energy/time. I don't feel I should post final images of the sketches until they're ready, but here are some of the sketches that didn't quite work, lol.

It's a tile design for the new tile pattern to go down the center aisle of the church.

18th-Jun-2008 10:48 pm - the making of the caking
badass, toph
I should profess my love of cooking, and how recently, I've felt more compelled than ever to do a bunch of baking and cooking.

Baking tends to take precedence, as my workweek is too busy to really put more than basic effort into making dinner (unless it's quesadilla night, in which case I go batshit and make delicious delicious quesadillas at the expense of my time. this generally happens on a Friday night for obvious reasons). Cooking is art+science, and I enjoy feeling like a mad scientist as I put a few drops of vanilla here and a pinch of salt there.

Anyway, cooking is inspiring. Here, have someone making a cake. Oh, and look, I'm still practicing putting backgrounds in my pieces. I know she has beefy arm syndrome©, but that's 'coz she's...that's a heavy bowl, you guys.

This is gonna be another lazy week for me. My parents sent me up a couch they had lying around, and putting it in my room required completely rearranging everything.

does anyone else have trouble drawing cities?
28th-May-2008 11:06 pm - hey, it's not as half-assed as last night's!

For one, I slapped on color. :P
22nd-May-2008 10:48 pm - scooter power!
So my bro is getting a scooter this weekend (though across the country, I won't be able to see it right now) and I found this funny pic and...this happened. I guess I can consider it more pshop practice, since it was done all entirely digital (no pencil sketches). SO THE BACKGROUND DOESN'T MATCH, WHATEVER.

I REALIZE IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE HE'S MOVING. HE'S NOT. THAT'S A WIRE IN HIS SCARF okay so maybe i'll edit this later
