This one's fairly obvious if you know me; I got hooked back in kindergarten when my dad bought Rian a Sega Genesis for his b-day and we had Sonic 1 (and soon Sonic 2, because of some sweet deal Sega had going on). I loved Sonic; like many small children, I loved talking animals. This sorta stayed with me up through fifth grade, where the only books I was interested in reading were those with anthropomorphic types (see: Redwall). I especially loved the Sonic in the Saturday morning cartoon on ABC, with the freedom fighters (whom we now know as 'terrorists') and the Sonic comic (continuing where the cartoon left off).
ANYWAY. Way back in the day, Tails was my favorite character (he could fly in Sonic 3! how could you not like Tails?!). When
tylercat and I were watching the cartoon recently (like My Little Ponies and Carebears, it's wonderful nostalgia) and Antoine was pretty awesome, in that super-lame overtly francophile way.
SORRY FOR THE TL;DR!THAT WAS THEN:

Fourth Grade (1994?)
Now (a sorta half-assed way, but I used crayons JUST LIKE I USED TO!)
