I got tired of my old computer stand this weekend and made a ghetto one out of cardboard and old strips of decorative paper: ( more )
I did the wallpaper tiling project thing too! I kind of failed at lining everything up though D: I made it yellow because of this creepy story I read in high school about a lady who gets locked up in a room with yellow wallpaper and it drives her BATSHIT CRAZY.
card for my roommate These never look as polished as I expect them to. Oh smartlaine, how do you do it? Why don't I have THE MAGIC TOUCH?
bet you thought this would be a self-portrait SIKE My parents' 29th anniversary was on Monday.
When I wasn't making signs and tees this week, I was making cards! This is for father's day, posted early, but eh I don't think my dad checks this thing. I couldn't get a clear scan of the back because of the ribbons D: sorry!
made using another bit of my mucha calendar and some pretty paper :D and some leftover frosted mylar from screenprinting class
This is what I did last week! I finally got around to ordering some imps from black phoenix, so I made this book for writing down my reactions to the scents I tried! The cover and black/white inside pages are from old calendars, the rest of the paper is either old origami paper or leftover paper from paper source. I sewed it all together with sewing thread!
IT WAS LIES, ALL LIES! I RETURNED TO CUT-PAPER CARDS Quickie as a wedding card for a co-worker. It was going to say "GOOD JOB" but I thought of something more relevant.
Salted-caramel buttercream frosting actually less good than the crisco-maine filling.
Couldn't post yesterday as I was in New York~~~! But I did make some stuff! Doodles drawn while waiting for the bus to leave Chinatown: and a rose window cutout thingy I made over the weekend, which looks very similar to smartlaine's snowflakes, only black and deadly!
It's hanami (cherry-blossom watchin') time in DC, and what better way to celebrate than with some HOMEMADE MOCHI? I made the first batch (with mochiko brand rice flour and that recipe) in white, and the second brand (with generic rice glutinous rice flour and an online recipe) in pink. Filled with nutella, PAIN IN THE ASS to roll. So sticky, it's not a lie.
I was still feeling crafty so I spruced up my pencil holder
this time I made a little notebook from scratch using some of my favorite printed acetate paper from paper source :3
just like tylercat did yesterday, I found a sweet tutorial at design*sponge. It's a cute little notepad made out of an old matchbook! I used a piece of an old calendar for the outside covering thingy.
Trade with tylercat. Front! Back! Secret inside~! You know, it'd be fun to do sketchbook trades with everyone. Maybe for next Christmas?
OHOHO dumb joke v-tine for Jamel Of course, my house is Kountz House, for Kendra McWizardingtonshire.
The music paper is from morgainlefay! I'm almost done with v-tines, don't worry.
For my boss, since she has show poodles. Of course, her recent puppy (no longer a puppy) comes in and is a totally spoiled brat, so the 'cuteness' level has dipped, as of late.
DC wasn't walloped nearly so thoroughly, but I did get another day off from work as a result. :3
